Cannot build asteroid miner despite having tech

So I just researched the asteroid mining tech but I cannot build an asteroid miner. What gives?

Yeah I'm not sure why you didn't get them. Playing the Barataks, right on turn one using console commands I get the miners and the template when researching that tech. Did you happen to delete the base miner template in a previous game ? That may be the cause of this issue.

Loading the save, I see that you don't have the miners template; thankfully you can design one easily in the shipyard: I just did in your game.

I believe this is the first time I played as the Baratak so not sure how I deleted it, but thanks for looking into it and explaining the issue. The asteroid miners did start showing up in the shipyard build list much later in the game, but also I did not particularly do anything to enable them.

Now that's interesting since unlocking other templates may have triggered them to show up as well. Just too bad you didn't get the two free ones with the tech unlock.
