Galactic Civilizations have quite an interesting story, mostly told in campaigns, especially those of Gal Civ II and III (main points of Gal Civ I’s Altarian Prophecy campaign have been imported into Gal Civ II as a campaign under the same name). However, most players never play these campaigns and especially now that these are older games, it is not likely. And, while the story in these campaigns is great, gameplay - wise, they are not perfect, to put it mildly. Especially in Gal Civ II. So, they would have to be told in another form to make more people familiar with them.
Novelising them entirely, however, would take a lot of work, and such reading them as they are now is not that immersive and may be pretty confusing too. But I have an idea. Let’s write a military report for each mission (or part of the mission for Gal Civ III) that would exist as documents within the Gal Civ universe. Such reports would be immersive, would contain all important information on what happened but would not be too long. But I would like some help with it. If more than one person writes it, it would be more believable, it would contain multiple styles and would also be ready faster. Because of that, I would like to ask you, if you are willing, to do so. Take a mission you choose and write a military report about it. Or any report. You can do it for all missions, only one or any that you want. Any help is greatly appreciated. It should not take long nor require much creative effort.
Here are starting and ending messages of Galactic Civilizations II campaigns. This should be enough for Gal Civ II. Let’s start with this. If you have any questions, please ask.
