Either I do not understand how military starbases defend themselves or combat involving a military starbase is not working as expected.
The first screen snapshot below shows the battle report for when an Intueri Aggregate fleet attacked my military starbase. As you can see, my starbase was destroyed with beam weapons and my starbase did not evade, absorb, or mitigate any of the attacks.
The second screen snapshot shows the Combat Rating report for my starbase. As you can see, it has missile attack of 49, beam attack of 30, and kinetic attack of 23. It also has shield strength of 510 and armor rating of 25.
My questions are:
- Why didn't my starbase use its missile attack BEFORE the attacking fleet used their beam weapons?
- Why didn't my starbase use its beam attack when the attacking fleet used theirs?
- Why didn't my starbase's shield strength absorb all of the attacking fleets beam attacks?
- Why didn't my starbase's armor rating get used at all?
The third screen snapshot shows that, when my starbase was destroyed, it's shield integrity was still 100%.
The fourth screen snapshot shows that, when my starbase was destroyed, it's armor integrity was still 100%.
What am I missing about how military starbases defend themselves?
