Looks like its purpose is it's a flight simulator. The links lead to similar PC setups for various planes. For serious afficionados and perhaps also useful for training?

Most video game flight simulators have 4 views available ,forward ,left right, and up.I always wondered if there was a way to display them simultaneously so you could use 4 monitors to make a small cockpit sim.

this one went over the top a little, but it looks like fun.

bet most games wouldnt let you do that tho.

First person shooters would be insane. You could set it up so you could see behind you!

There's a company (which eludes me at the moment) who specialises in these kind of setups, special video adapters and the like. You can do it on any piece of software its a driver level implementation the app just thinks its a humungous display surface.

I'm sure I saw it done several years ago with Quake (must've been with multiple graphics adapters).
