Galactic Civilizations 3 Graphics help

Hey everyone,

I am unable to change the graphics settings for Galactic Civilizations 3, which I have upgraded to Retribution.  The remain at low both during the same game and after I close out and reopen the game.

 

I have an Nvidia GeForce GT 645M graphics card, i7 processor, and 8 gigs of ram

 

I have done some searching and tried the solutions I found.  I have deleted the preferences.ini file in the game directory, tried to change the settings both from the main menu and from within the gave, and I have updated video card files.  I would like to avoid uninstalling and reinstalling the game if at all possible, but will try that if there are no other options.  If there is a thread where this is addressed please feel free to point me to it, as I know this question has been asked before.  I have simply been unable to find any other solutions.

That's very odd.  Can you share to your debug.err file?  Its in the same directory as your prefs ini

Note: if you have Crusade installed, there is a separate folder for it in your "my games" folder
