We need a third tech trading option
Right now its all or nothing.
Which are great. But if you have tech trading on, its too easy to just play the aliens and always be on top of tech by trading your way to the top.
We need a third option for partial tech trades.
Two options could be:
You could only trade fully for a tech at a level you could get on your own. Higher level techs which you don't have the pre req for you would only get partial credit for. Say 1/5 if far away from the base, or 1/2 if closer to the base.
Easier to implement you can only trade and implement one tech per trade and only implement a single new tech per turn.
After all in real life you would not be able to implement new techs right away, there is a change over time etc.
So that adds a 3rd option
it takes x turns (the higher the tech the longer it takes) + some credits to actually implement any new tech you get
Either option would help make game play smoother and not let a player bulldoze thru trading in getting all the tech so fast. Currently even at the higher level i can consistently beat the computer in tech trading because i can trade and implement so many tech at once. And playing with no tech trading is just too extreme of a solution.
