There are probably more people can come up with but here are some of mine that I think would be good to be addressed down the road.
1 - There is no way to easily tell what a colonized planets event bonuses are for each planet unless you mouse over every single statistic, even then depending on the event they have different names so it makes it even more difficult to tell. its needs to be in the govern planet window or a label called "Event" or something, just as the planet bonus are listed for active core, ghost world, etc. in fact there seems to be a complete lack of information compared to how GalCiv2 gave a planet overview.
2 - Similar to above, even know starbase bonuses are indeed listed on each statistic they have so many different names based off what upgrade the starbase has and what race you are. would be nice to see them all easily in the planet overview.
3 - There is no way to queue an upgrade over the top on an existing planet improvement without first destroying the improvement, this isn't how it was in GalCiv2. If I want to change a power plant to a research station, the only way is to destroy it completely and then build it. Then if the research station is like 4th in the queue, im not getting the bonuses from the previous improvement while its waiting for its turn as its already destroyed.
Wish I could queue it over the top like in gal civ 2, and then it just destroys it when it finally gets to its turn in the queue.
4 - Where you can place planet upgrade improvements like soil and terraforming can sometimes seem arbitrary(I know its actually not). But because of this its near impossible to plan in advance where I want to place upgrades. It would be nice to have a tool tip come up when you hover over an empty square(similar to how you can view influence on the main map) telling you in advance if it can or cannot have upgrades later from soil improvements. Maybe even a toggle function to display it. Seeing as adjacent bonuses are kinda important this would help us plan out placements in advance without having to wait for the techs.
5 - When you scroll though all your planets I wish it focused on the planet you were viewing when you went back to the map, or maybe a button to focus on it. Atm all it does it keep you at the same location you were before you scrolled though the menu. There are many reasons why this is needed, really no need to explain .
6 - if you turn off the auto "Civilization production levels" or "Auto upgrade improvements" on a planet. there is no way to easily tell what planets I have done this on. A few times I have come back to a planet 50 turns later as I had completely forgot and none of the improvements have upgraded in the mean time. Or I was unable to remember which planet I changed it on and have to play a game of hide and seek on all my planets.
7 - I like the planet production wheel, just would be really nice to be able to, like gal civ 2, lock one of them in place. eg. Lock research to %50" while the other two are left to fluctuate on there own or while I move around the wheel to just change production and wealth values as the locked one stays static.
Likewise, just a similar ability to be able to type in the % in the window without having to move around the wheel... just ease of use rather then a major problem.
8 - Maybe Its just me, but it is really hard at a glance to see what each extreme world type is from the map. They all have there own Coloured dot, but its to small where it seems to be lost in the mass of things on the screen. Even something as simple as keeping the same colour as you have now, but add a outer orange ring for Tier one planets, and red for tier 2.
9 - Personal Suggestion - would be nice to be able to "flag" a planet as research, manufacturing, wealth, tourism etc. And it creates a corresponding icon next to the planet on the main map. that you can turn on and off in the menu, and is filterable in the Colony list. (See Pic)
Now I don't think this is something you would want to place on EVERY planet, and I don't mean for this to affect the game in any way, so not like governors. It just would make it easier for players to at a glance know what they had planed for each planet.
When you have lots of planets it would be easier to visually see what certain planets have the potential to be good at, if I colonize a planet and I see its a Ghost world (25% extra research) and it had 3 research tile bonuses. I could flag it as Research. I find that I come back to a planet many turns later and forget what it was exactly I had planed to do. Or I load a save from a few days ago and forget what it is exactly I was planning to do on each planet. This would help me considerably, and hopefully others would get a lot of use out of it to.
Atm all you can really do is re look at all these things one by one and its so time consuming when you have a large map. Also might make it easier to see where my overall planet focus might be lacking. If im low on credits I can check on all my Credit flagged planets and see what I can do to make things better.
--This is just a mock-up so my idea is easier to understand, it doesn't necessarily have to look exactly like this --
