They get resources fine but they leave all the relics alone.
I've seen them go for relics in several games, in fact I saw 1 go for a manufacturing relic turn 2 rather than build a colony ship first.
same here, it does go for them. Ascension relics are not a priority when ascension victory is disabled though.
