Do you have a minimum of Windows 7 64bit and a current GPU driver?

I am also having issues getting the beta to load.

 

I click launch in steam, the splash screen appears, then it just crashes back to desktop as if it had never been launched without even an error message.

 

And yes I am using windows 7 64 bit with the latest drivers (as of today).

 

I have reinstalled the game to see if that helps.

 

I am unsure if I having a similar issue to the OP, but I could be.

catongreantea, you will find the instructions for debugging and issue reporting (including crashes) in the Support FAQ, They will likely also want you to download, run, and attach the output from, SDSupportTool to your ticket, which you can download from http://sd.stardock.com/Support/supportToolTest/SDSupportTool.exe.

 

Obelisk357, Please post your system information (use "dropbox" or equivalent please) so we can try to find something out, One other possibility is  the steam client may not be current. And someone else may have other suggestions. You probably also should review the Support FAQ for other hints, or to get help from the Devs.

Obelisk, can you tell me what model CPU you have? The only thing that came out of the DxDiag output was that it was an Intel I7, but it didn't include what model. And I think you are going to have to open a ticket with the support people, Sorry, I did what I could.
