Do Asteroids without special resource do anything?

So far it doesn't look like asteroids do anything unless they have a special resource. Is that right?

they don't do anything (yet).

Was some talk about it on this weeks podcast iirc.

Yeah asteroid exploitation is a planned feature, just not ingame yet.
