Yeah, I'd definitely say that Ghost would be the better play from what I experienced.  The only thing that saved you from dying during that one telegank was that I panicked and thought it was Sy coming down to kill us all.  Had I realized that it was an early game jungle Nasus... 

It was a fun game but I truly regret not giving DanKnee a taste of his own medicine!

Yeah Swan my sched is pretty packed. ~20 hours of work a week plus 15 hours of class a week, then whatever left for studying. Fortunately it's only one week into the semester and I have yet to be bombarded with assignments/projects, if you guys are looking to do ranked tonight I'll be avail. Have festivities to attend this weekend and will probably pack in more studying.

I was so out of it that night, I joined cause Turtle was pestering me to.  

At one point of the game I zoned out so much that I was tanking turret without a minion wave because wu E'd then ulti'd me. I noticed after I died, RIP.

summary of night - was in the mood for ranked.  Played 1 and was nunu.  Their jungler was xin and played very well.  Kept me on my toes and tried to counter jungle me (side note - my ryze top went smite/tp... so... you know).  Anyway, I didn't do poorly, but under performed and felt very pressured by xin.  My main issue was feeling like I need to aid top lane due to the dumb no flash bullseye he painted on himself.  Anyway, my mid lane carried us to victory.  Felt like a loss but we stayed in it. Pretty mediocre game for me though.

Got invited to a non ranked right after that.  NA goes down to another ddos. I jump over to LAN and play team builder. Nearly get 2 penta kills running yi. Not really difficult honestly (low level stuffs).  Trying to level the account as quickly as possible, though.  Level 16 atm.  Seems like I'm getting a lot of reps on LAN lately due to attacks though.

Anyway, felt like my jungle play was off and I'm going to go back to putting in reps on more practical junglers on NA.

Quick rambling... re: "practical junglers" - I was thinking today - hmm.. would like to play volibear.  But - cannot in most comps.  Which kind of blows.  Stonewall was talking about how rengar is pretty much a good pantheon. Panth is nice early/mid and generally poo late.  Rengar just lacks the early gank power and becomes stronger as the game goes on - including the ability to consistently get at a carry (while panth can just try with his ult).  If you take ult strength, I think rango has it hands down.  Anyway, the strength in the ult is in the approach.  Panth has the range, but you have more than enough time to respond in most cases.  Rango can just go omgfckingbbq and take a shot with a higher success rate. Realistically, panth needs his ult and flash to get on a carry. Rango needs ult. Personally, I think rango is a better pick up if I've got 1 person with an equal skill cap on both champs.  w/e tho - panth is fun to play ofc

So, back to the whole voil thing.  Here's what I think - I think for jungle champions, there needs to be a big trade off before champs with immediate gap closers and champs with gap closers.  Voli presses q and moves quickly to an enemy champ.  Wukong presses q and immediately hits an enemy champ. Voli's an inferior pick as a jungler due to his kit.  Voli is a bad pick if you have anyone that can slow or hard cc.  Other junglers can bypass those slows or hard cc through mobility, etc ( a kha hop, a panth hop stun, etc).  Voli gets slows and he can't do any dmg.  Panth gets slowed and he can still hop based on distance etc.  Any jungler that is blown up by a slow is kind of smeh imo ( a nunu snowball or lulu glitterlance means no gank will succeed with voli bear unless you flash).  I think things like that remove champs from being a viable pick at higher levels of play.   That soft cc weakness is only increased when team fights occur.   Voli is really the worst with this as he can do literally zero dmg with his ult or anything if he can't get close.  1 slow and no dmg - just zoning potential. 

Summary of thought is that junglers that are vulnerable to soft cc in the team fight stage and on ganks are not really viable.  I'd go a step further and add that any champ that has a gap closer that bypasses soft cc should have weaknesses providing a tradeoff.  Thoughts on either comments?

Going to try out asension later today if its still up on PBE.  I'm still thinking it will turn into a game mode similar to that of dominion for me (eg something I play a few times and am over), but looking forward to trying something new. 

Really been enjoying working on my adcs lately.  Super dig lucian again.  Anyway, fun games for the most part last night.  Was glad I got a chance to play with those of you that I did.

Oh - and I did take a look at ascension.  I think it has good potential to be fun.  I only had time for a quick putzing around in a custom game, though.

So, its on dominion, but log of war is kind of crazy.  You can't return to your base.  Your trinket tps you to one of platforms so you can access the map.  Xerath is at the middle of the map and scales in power as you level (or just over time).  Xerath is reasonably strong.  I think the fun in trying to take him out is in you fighting against him at the same time as against other people, etc.   Whoever kills xer becomes ascended and becomes larger in size and gets a bunch of stat bonuses - but you are visibile to everyone on the map - even if you are in a bush.  I THINK everyone tries to kill you at this point, but I don't know for sure.  I believe the person with the most points wins, but am not sure.  Need to play it out with folks on PBE to learn more. Fun concepts imo, tho

Well, yesterday was a day of poop ranked games for me.  1st - I played kind of smeh.  Nothing all that great about anything I did.  My team handicapped the crap out of ourselves in game 1.  I wasn't even remotely surprised that we had a problem.  My teams 1st 2 picks are jinx and nunu at jungle.  My team then decides to go malphite top and j4 mid.  No tp.  I don't even kind of know why folks chose those picks.  Our 3rd pick calls mid as j4 and is up against a vel'koz of all things.  He just gets lit up.  Anyway, I do what I can, our bot does their best, but I really think the phone head top/mid decisions cost us and no tp meant no split push or tp ults on malphite that could have swung the game.

Game 2 I just get carried.  Yasuo mid.  I guarantee everyone on the enemy team requested a yasuo ban the next game. 

Game 3 - well, I don't even know.  We get into the same situation where bot lane has to carry or its gg.  We get a mid swain that is pretty awful, a shen top, and a rammus jungle. Again, another comp that's decent for protecting the adc, but not a heck of alot else if the mid falls behind (he did... at champ select.. with his runes).  Kind of my fault for not taking top lane, though.  I could have rolled with that but wanted to play support.  This resulted in a shen top (which I would never have done due to rammus/swain picks). Anyway, I have a so so game, but really leaning towards mediocre in all games with some pretty sloppy play.  Really just wanted to adc and carry.

Got to play adc in a norm after that and just crushed it.  Last game of the night was lagging out.  Restarted client and that sorted it, but that after we gave a dbl kill bot lane. We still were in it and could have come back but things never quite fell into place.  I played ok, but not amazing, my support opted to not buy some wards and chose items instead at a critical time, and I kept getting assists.  I def could have played better.  Was super happy to at least have 1 game where i crushed things though.  Rough night over all.  Flunked out of gold I promos.

It would be nice to have a dedicated night for ranked 5's. I know this is hard to do but my life is going to get a little more busy with a GF, studying for taking the GRE again, and I also have IRL friends that I have started hanging out with more. If you can post times when you are available that would be great. I am free almost any night unless I make plans with people. 

Off the top of my head, Sunday nights might be best for a dedicated night.  Dan said he was free on weekends, and we tend to have good numbers then anyway.

Ahhh!  I just got back on the team and you're going to kick me off again?  I would think that comedy that comes from Pacov's hatred of me playing Thresh with him bot lane would alone be worth having me on the team.

i'm moving (again) this Saturday. Hopefully internet will be setup and stable soon and then i'll be able to invest more time into league as other-life obligations start to settle down.

It is hard to say for me right now since I am just getting back at it after a break. But I would say bronze/silver level.

Crow is easily better than tom.  I removed Thunder from my friends list and now have room for you.
