Well, I started a thread back in Dec 2011 that’s seen a lot of activity (some 922,000 views over the course of a few years apparently...).  That thread had a good deal of tips/strategies/discussions about League of Legends from new and old players alike.  You can find the previous thread (now archived) here:  https://forums.joeuser.com/413863.  I think its time to start fresh with a new thread.

What’s this thread all about?
For those that followed the previous thread, the type of content you see here will be fairly consistent to what you are used to.  Please consider this a place to discuss LoL related content as you like.  I'll do the same and treat the thread as a blog as well where I talk about what’s going on with me in LoL.  Feel free to jump in and join the discussion if you like.

Quick background on me
I played a lot of Demigod as pacov/cheesuscrust. Back in August 2011, I started getting heavily involved in League of Legends, and folks from the community were kind enough to help me figure things out.  I play LoL most nights, stream, make videos and it’s my main gaming interest.

Low level team builder on LAN = wtf is going on btw.   Played 2-3 games last night over there and then a few games on NA once i finally got on.  Be on NA tonight then.. maybe we have 5 of us for ranked then if riot servers work n stuff..

Think I'm done with Ranked 5's.

Been playing quite a bit on my smurf account and doing mostly Ranked games and some Normals with some lower level IRL friends along with also playing ARAMs more often along with some Teambuilder with MC folks.  That has caused playing competitively with you guys to not be much fun any more for these reasons:

- Trying to play as much Top and Mid as possible has left the roles that you guys are going to need me to play pretty rusty.

- Playing the low Silver meta has made my decision making and mid/late game playstyle to be a bit off.

From the recent games I've experienced, the formula of taking Bryff, Cow, and Karl who are extremely specialized and dialed into their chosen role and plugging in the bot lane with people like me who have been slumming around in lower level games in non-bot lane roles... Well, I think you guys have reached the Ranked 5's MMR where that's not really going to cut it.

Good luck getting that Gold and please don't hesitate to send me an invite for Normals!

We played pretty well as a team last night. The first game was extremely rough but Dan's preformance kept us in the game. Two team fights in a row we Aced them despite being behind 16k gold and then 12k gold respectively. The last team fight was played especially good by everyone. Nobody on there team got to touch Dan and key targets were focus and kill first (kha, trist).

Not much to say about the following game other than really good laning by everyone and some nice ganks by Karl (especially on poor ziggs).

re: thunders post - hey - whatever you find fun, bro.  Hope you've been enjoying playing it up with you other pals, though.  I feel like king poop over on LAN (where my jackass yi is highly celebrated). :P  Seriously, if you think team builder is jacked up here, its something altogether more jacked on LAN.  Anyway, feels good to be the best on the team.  :)  Sorry you aren't into it anymore, though, but its not worth doing if its not fun for you of course.

We have a blast joking around and it is undeniably fun in a way to be the best player in the game, however the frustration with teammates in games that I play with my one Bronze IV buddy are not worth it sometimes.  The other is getting really close to Silver so those games aren't nearly as bad.

One reason I didn't mention before is that I don't want to play Ranked 5's with you guys because of my lag situation.  It's gotten significantly better after altering the QoS on the router, but it still sucks.  

Not knowing when my bandwidth is going to take a dive has made me less likely to play in games with people who are more on the competitive side.  In Silonze games with my friends, I've still been able to carry hard as Swain during a laggy game and when I'm queuing up with MC's who don't grab Flash on Amumu, I feel less bad about having a poor performance y'know?

It's not just the Support position that I'm not as into anymore but League in general.  Not being able to play with people I know during prime hours, not knowing if I'm going to go from carrying my team to losing the game for them cause I start lagging during a crucial teamfight... just kinda saps your motivation to get better y'know?

But!

I'm moving into a new place in a few weeks where I'll have my own connection.  Got an appointment with the ISP and everything.  Love of LoL and Thresh should be restored at that point...

ok - so, I queued up with a gold V pal today.  I landed in the super crappy world of bronze - low gold.  All sides.  Normally, when I queue up, I'm against/with plat diamond. I assume his mmr, etc, brought crap down (he's host of games).  That said, seems really weird to take such a dip. BUT - all games were blind pick and I never really play that.

Does anyone know if blind pick has its own special queue and maybe the folks I got was related to me never playing that?

Played a bunch of team builder with nasus jungle.  872 stacks  last game of the night with 20.5k gold and 362 cs.  Fun is done for me for the night anyway.
