Stardock will be closed for Easter weekend starting on Friday, April 3rd and we will be returning on Tuesday, April 7th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time, but expect delays in responses during this time.
After steam downloaded today's update (0.0.2.0) all of my options settings were reset to the defaults.
Is this going to be normal for the Alpha, or even the Beta?
I'd likely say normal given that the first thing that runs is "gc3_wipe_prefs.exe"
For alphas it would Likely be normal for betas it may or may not. Remember a lot can change in these early builds so resetting is probably a wise thing to force.
Similar to the great point that Econundrum1 made. The reason you are seeing this is because the prefs file is wiped at the start. We do this to reduce the amount of critical issues that could arise and prevent player from being able to play the game. This will happen early in development and continue until it becomes less of a needed preventative measure. Thanks for the feedback!

Come to think of it, I remember this happening in the alpha/betas of GC1 and GC2 for the same reasons. Thanks for reminding me.
