Can we open a new thread, in an attempt to get some new players?
Probably a good idea. Also in an attempt to retain some old players that have yet to confirm.
I haven't done a exhaustive check but it does seem that there are at least a few MVL regulars that haven't yet confirmed their continued play.
This potential loss of players was probably an inevitable result of taking a break. I still think the break was beneficial just to keep people from burning out on it. The thing is that people do come and go and there's really not anything to do to stop it.
The only thing we should always strive to do is to realize that an ebb and flow is only natural and try to encourage folks to realize that it's OK to come and go as the demands of real life change.
The biggest thing is to try and make sure people understand is that leaving is no big deal and therefore when and if their situation changes they can should feel perfectly comfortable in returning.
It is only natural that people might feel that they let folks down in some respect and therefore be inclined to once having left, never return. It's this natural tendency we should try our best to overcome by making it as clear as possible that former players are always welcome to return as the situation that caused them to leave changes.
