+10% morale vs economy vs production

Hi...

I just wonder really the mecanism behind that...

You see, it could be +10% morale -> +10% people paying taxes -> +10% production
since production comes from taxes which come from people paying them because you were able to bring imposition up.

So how does it work REALLY? What's the difference between morale, economy and taxes bonus?

Well, it isn't exactly that way:
+ 10% morale means that you may able to raise taxes. but you won't get 10% more in BC.
And the production is driven by 1 important things: the spending rate. If you are at 100% spending rate, you production can't increase. You will need to buy some improvements.

And a greater income means that you will be able to have a better spending rate without going into debt.

erm... why should one chose to take morale then when he could go for economy or (better) growth. Growth just seem maniac: 6 points = +80% growth. At this point, you start laying eggs.

I am sure that balancing issues were considered, so I do not understand how come it costs more to get even more morale while adding only 2 points passes from 40 to 80% growth bonus (while growth seems to give alot more). In comparison, it would cost 6 to get +50% social/military/scientific production...

Well, a huge growth bonus have some important drawback:
- important growth means planet filled faxtly. which lead to drop in morale
- at some stage, the gowth bonus isn't important since there is a cap of 200Million colonist added per palent and per turn
- a planet with 100% morale will get a double growth.

Morale is a very important since it helps growth, income, production.

the social/military/scientfic production bonus aren't free: you must pay them. So in order to correctly use them (ie being at 100% spending rate), you need a powerful economy. And in Glaciv, a powerful economy need a good morale on each planet.

I just started to look at this more seriously, and now it makes more sense. GalCiv is powerful :HOT:
But it doesn't show truly to someone who doesn't research further :(
