Avatar-101, I'm sure people would love to e-mail you a copy of that file, but you didn't give us an e-mail address!

Ah Ron.. you see I am smarter than that. I will not put my email address online for just anybody to see.

I sending you a PM with my email address

...but not smart enough to remember to backup all my game files it seems

BAH.. and it's just AVATAR, somebody else was already registered way back then with the name Avatar when I first bought GalCiv on StarDock

Well then your in trouble because I don't frequent the boards day and night.

Just whenever I'm at home and not at work.

Edit:

And your being really silly saying "e-mail me" and then withholding the e-mail data!

This really wasn't necessary. You can archive your install of sins through Stardock Central. Just right click sins in SDC and chose download, and archive. That way if you screw up your game files through modding you wont have to re-download to fix it. Just right click on sins in SDC, and chose restore archive.

I think Ron is missing the point about just plastering your emails addresses where everybody can see them. Send him a PM with my email address and got a reply back "huh"

I think his short term memory is shot.

Anyway, I downloaded and archived the game, so that little fiasco of mine is resolved. Thanks for those that were willing to help, really appreciate it.

6 hours dancing on a street corner will wipe most people's short term memory, and put you into long term (My job is, basically, to stand on a street corner with a sign and get attention -- dancing being a good way to do this). And expecting me to connect name and a random E-mail address to a thread I saw over ten hours before hand... Even without the mind-numbing nature of my job, the PM (which I saw before I re-reached this thread, of course) was completely un-connectible to this thread.

Edit: Just to be clear, had you actually given me information past a seemingly random PM with an E-mail address, it would have gone a long way to getting something useful from me. I think you forgot the nature of the forums -- its a long turnaround on replies, because people drop by as they have time.

No, there is no point. You don't even get a lot of spam from doing it -- as in, I don't see an appreciable difference in the level of random spam received.

Remember to see a doctor if they stack for longer than 4 hours, to avoid any permanent er.. damage.
