Iconian tech - how to get to huge hulls?

Is it not possible to research massive scale construction (unlocking huge hull sizes) as Iconia? For some reason I got the prereq tech, but I'm not offered to research huge hulls, pls. see pic - I cannot select massive.

In the standard tech view it is not offered at all.

Does it play a role that I got the prereq tech (hull capacity +20) from an artifact, so did not research it myself? Or is there another prereq tech I need to get still?

Are you certain that you've researched enough techs to enter the Age of Ascension? Massive-scale Construction is an Age of Ascension tech, and you need to have developed something like 100 techs before you can research any Age of Ascension tech. There's a progress bar at the bottom of the tech tree view which shows your progress to unlocking the next tech era, if I recall correctly.

Oh, could be the reason indeed that I did not progress into that age yet. I didn't think of it, as I never run before into this, thx.
