Seeing Steam Profile from the Multiplayer Lobbies

As much as I love the game, i would love to have the ability to get to someone's steam profile from the game so I can add people i enjoy playing with. Most of the time its a pain in the ass trying to find people due to lots of people having very generic names making it almost impossible to find them on steam . 

I feel it would help create more of a community and may even encourage people to talk a little more in game and help with development.

My name in game, is my Steam profile, and here.  Can you create names in game, that is different from steam?

 

UPDATE:  Oh, I think I see.  For example, I might see James Earl Jones, and search for him on Steam and find 20,000 entries.  Are you asking for the ability to interact directly from ingame maybe?

Yea, for example, someone called 'Zap' I see a lot, but you are never going to find them in steam. The ability to find a steam profile from the multiplayer lobbies would be great.

It's nearly impossible to sift some steam names out of the steam search engine, even when you know what their avatar picture is.

I don't think having a link to the steam profile page inside the lobby UI is necessary.

However Steam does have a "Show Players" option in the overlay, where it shows people you recently played with. If that were to be implemented that would be more than enough.
