It seems the next generation way of creating characters. Thought i'd bring it up if nobody in the forum or studio has come across it before. It's beginning to allow people to take a model and animate it in facerig as well.
That is soooo freaking cool. I can see it being used in an MMO more than Gal Civ... but still cool
Yes very much for other genres, but it'd make animating heads for leaders really easy. Pick a background, pick a model and then sit in front of your own screen.
I don't know how much CPU and GPU time that tech needs.
It would work wonders for streamers and youtubers. But I can't see this running on top of AAA games.
I have facerig on my system and it's pretty cool. although I never considered it before, something like that could make for a pretty cool integration with a voice/vid chat that wraps the player's faction aatar over them (with or without voice mangling)
