First things first, before even going into the game, the tooltip of the Steam achievements needs filling in correctly.

I assumed that it was just a place holder and wasn't tied to anything as Steam may require an achievement for release if they plan on having achievements in later builds of the game...... Then I checked the stats and somebody, somewhere, has got that achievement. =|

An another one for NOT taking part on the alpha!!!

Can we disable Steam achievements for our games? I don't need stuff that is not really achievement but control marks for the developers. (sorry, devs!!) "Achieving" to start my first game or stablish my first colony is not worth, at least, the notification.

Grinding achievements are somehow better because at least they suppose some real effort. They would not fare well compared to stuff like "Beat by yourself 7 allied Genius or better AIs" though.

This sounded hard, until I remembered that Frogboy said he wants this games biggest modes to have 100+ players.... I'm imagining power blocks of Suicidal AI, 5 blocks of 10 each and 49 unaligned players, and me sitting there with Super Manipulator very carefully balancing and wearing everyone down, while I ate one de-toothed unaligned AI at a time with speedy transports......

I would rather we have achievements that relate to the storyline as well. Something like "Revenge: Beat the Drengin as Torians". Others could be having a colony in the middle of an enemy's territory, or near a wormhole and naming the achievement "Deep Space (9)". Something a bit cheesy and fun.

Our Frogboy ... I'm pretty sure ... isn't the Frogboy on Steam.  Draginol on steam doesn't have that achievement, so its not him.  Maybe whomever is GC3's appointed Steamworks integration specialist got it for testing.
