Looking at coming back to Sins. Gave up years ago due to the fixed fleet costs. Just wondering if this is now an OPTION in Rebellion meaning that people who want it can have it or people who dont like it can turn it off?
I used to find in games that if you played as TEC and upgraded your fleet, following the first large battle if you lost it was basically game over as you could never afford to build back a large fleet. If you played against a Vasari player and killed off their large fleet, it didnt matter as they used Dark Fleet to get free ships each go so could easily have a large fleet again after a few more goes.
I was hoping that you could "downgrade" the fleet cost. Ie "undo" the latest level but you would have to pay again to research it if you manage to build back a small force. This would at least mean you dont get people quitting after a large battle as they have to just sit back and wait for the enemy to steam roll them.
It doesnt make sense not being able to downgrade fleet support costs because in a real war you could sell off infrastructure and "fall back" to regroup. I am not talking about automatic fleet costing, but just the ability to rollback a level or two until you get reorganised, but of course have to research the fleet level again as you expand.
Hoping something like this is an option in Rebellion, but want to check before buying!
