Hey NikkieFairchild,
Welcome to the forums. Although we do have many active users, and Stardock employees that check the forums, it will often take more than 10 minutes for a response. Especially when you post on the weekends. The forums are not live support.
I'm playing on the PC version I got today at GameStop.
Before we try to fix any problems, let's first make sure that you are playing the latest version of the game.
We have a free program called Impulse that is used to register and then update your game(s). You said you got your game from GameStop. When you installed the game, it should have also installed Impulse for you. Whether you have XP or Vista, it will have been installed to Start->All Programs->Stardock->Impulse. If you don't have Impulse for some reason, you can go to this website to get it: http://www.impulsedriven.com/impulse_setup_full.exe
Once you have found, or went and downloaded Impulse, run it and be sure to register your copy of Political Machine 2008. To do that, click the blue Stardock orb in the upper left-hand corner and go to "Register a product". After registration of the game, it will show up in the My Games tab, as well as the Updates tab, if there are updates.
Running the latest version of the game can solve many issues that have been discovered since the launch of the game back in June. So definitely make sure you get the latest updates.
If JakeGarcia's post doesn't help you, and you have the latest build, repost here and we can further try to figure out how to help you.
