My dumb question for today

Where are the instructions on how to load up and play a custom map I download from the website.    Optionally if you want to just tell me how to load up these files rather then tell me where the information is thats even better.  Just placing it in the galaxy folder doesnt seem to work, they are not listed in the custom maps list. The search function on this forum needs alot of work.

In that case you most likely got 1.02 maps. Those will need to be opened in notepad and have the Version at the top changed from 0 to 1 in order to make them appear under Sins 1.03.

Ive made these change to both of the two maps in question and they still are not visible in the custom maps list. Ill paste in the first few lines of both files

Maps placed in the game's galaxy folder (not the one under the windows user folder, that's only for those made with the in-game mapmaker) will appear under the appropriate size category on the map list, not on the custom category.
