hey all, (don't think its technical, so General is my best bet to put this in)
I recently looked at Sins' and found a flaw in the concept of the
ships. The game keeps referring to homeworld and how it's the same
almost. I agree with that statement to some extent. At least in
homeworld the captial ships built had flak guns to help destroy the
fighters and bombers. The captial ships in this game don't have any!
Thus, making the bomber strategy the best. No matter how many captial
ships your fleet has, if your enemy creates a drone type of fleet with
fighter and bomber squadrons, well it'd be a good fight, but eventually
the drone fleet will win. We need flak guns on our capital ships!!
The Kol Battleship has an optional Flak gun, and the Halcyon Carrier has an equivalent, Telekinetic Push(or whatever it's name is).
And at certain levels, many cap-ships get free squadrons, so you can just base fighters off your cap-ships anyway to kill bombers.
Or the cap-ship can kill the carrier/hangar.
Or you can put some really advanced enigmas called
anti-fighter(aka, Flak) frigates in your fleet. But that would need way too much thinking.
