Im confused.... tutorials?

Sooo... heard about the game on some random website, did some research and it seems like everything I want.

Bought the digital + Box, downloaded, fired up, clicked tutorial... and... nothing.

No text, no voice... just... a ship floating in space.

Am I missing something?

There is a known issue with the tutorials that prevent them from running correctly unless your screen resolution is set to 1024x768. It will be fixed in the next patch that will hopefully be out on this Friday. Before that switch your res just to do the tutorial and you'll be fine.

I reset it to 1024x768 and other than "If its out there, Ill find it" there is no audio, or on screen pop ups. A ship does come in and engage the orbital gun...

I tried restarting the application, and then I clicked reset to defaults, and restarted the application.

Is there text and or audio? or is it a tutorial that requires the manual? If so... where do I find the manual for downloaded version?

I had the basic tutorial not work on me either, even after switching back to 1024x768. However, it worked when I went back to the menu, quit the tutorial (but not the game), then started it up again. So, try that a few times.

If you installed the game in the default location the manual is at : C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\Sins of a Solar Empire\manual.pdf

Also, the other tutorials worked initially for me, just not the basic one, so you could always skip ahead and do those first. Oh and the manual(.pdf) is in your Sins game folder.

Worked for me as well, just restarted/quit the tutorial about 2 - 4 times and it started right up, appreciate the help
