uh, Weyrleader If you'll be kind enough to check your fuel tanks, you'll notice we siphoned your gas tank when we where along side- You should be running out of gas about... NOW  We learned our lessons well from CGI - the steady mover is the utlimate winner.
Weyrleader
Good morning Diplomats. Steady as she goes and our fuel will last long enough to reach the PQ 40 planted before the Orcas, as they accelerate and run our of gas before they get there.
Oh, I misunderstood you, I thought you said tell that to my real wife
Good morning diplos. Only 3600 points ahead of the Oracas. Submit you 300K point games NOW
Good morning Diplos. Vulcan, you are keeping us ahead of the Orcas, who have mistaken us for a heard of baby seals.
Well, 3rd place it will have to be then. There is no way I want to catch up. The only way to do that is not pleasant for the other person.
Whoot! Someone fixed the DNS and I can now get to the CORE. Withdrawal pains have subsided. This would never have happened on my watch as the PM for the Arpanet back in '85-'97
Next oldest to Vulcan. 64 at last count - and still counting
No one has mentioned it yet, but the Empires collect their own versions of "best strategies" some of which is posted here and there in the open, but some is not and is only available to empire members. The Diplomats have some of the best players in the MV and have a private collection of outstanding strategies, hints, and tips. Some of this is in the open in the empire-neutral threads at the Core (www.thegalacticcaore.com). Drop by and join the Core for a good time chatting with good players.
I am totally confused at this point as to why I cannot get to the Core.
Location: United States [City: Hopkinsville, Kentucky] Preparation: The reverse DNS entry for an IP is found by reversing the IP, adding it to "in-addr.arpa", and looking up the PTR record. So, the reverse DNS entry for 72.41.98.77 is found by looking up the PTR record for 77.98.41.72.in-addr.arpa. All DNS requests start by asking the root servers, and they let us know what to do next. See How Reverse DNS Lookups Work for more information. How I
When I do a domain lookup on www.thegalacticcore.com I get the domain servers as Domain servers in listed order: NS3.IXWEBHOSTING.COM 72.41.4.11 NS4.IXWEBHOSTING.COM 72.41.5.11
The reason I think there is a screwup in the DNS routing tables is that the registrant for the top domain name is IANA, and I doubt that they are hosting the site the Core is using. IANA Whois Service Domain: in-addr.arpa ID: in-addr-arpa Registrant: Name: Inverse IPv4 Domain Organization: Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) Address1: 4676 Admiralty Way Address2: Suite 330 Address3: City: Marina del Rey Sta
No, the browser times out, both IE and Firefox.
The Core IP address that I get is 72.41.96.77 When I run that thru the DNS reverse lookup I get the following: 72.41.96.77 resolves to "rev.opentransfer.com.77.96.41.72.in-addr.arpa" Top Level Domain: "in-addr.arpa" Which does not seem right to me. I wonder if there is a DNS name corruption in the net that is screwing things up. DG, could you ask your hosting company or perhaps you can tell me, what is the IP address of the core? Ask them to resubmit you
Tracert says that the Core is over 30 hops from my starting point
Reverse DNS lookup cannot resolve 208.44.82.27 or the previous IP address. The last address resolved is from BellSouth.
When I ping the Core it get no response all packets lost. But I can access from work which is through XO instead of Cox. On Traceert the last site it gives is 208.44.82.27 After that is all time outs.
DG or DaMoose, can you check to see if my url is being blocked at the Core. You should have my IP address there. I cannot get any of my computers thru Cox Cable netowrk to the Core. So, it is not my machine. I have checked the router and it is not blocking anything on outgoing. Maybe one of the spammers is using Cox and you banned all cox calbe users.
Well, I installed Firefox and still can't get into the Core.
Good morning Diplos. Hope you are all looking forward to the weekend. Be sure and hide the Honey-Do jar where it can't be found.
Good morning Diplos. I can get to the Core this morning. Those high scoring games take a while in real time to play. My low scoring ones take even longer
Can't seem to get in to the Galactic Core - site times out.
Good morning Diiplomats. Let's make the Galaxy save for those baby space seals that space orcase are feasting on.
Good morning diplomats. I exchanged my "former top 25" medal for a "to 25" medal that I got when the MV first started. I should lose a few more games to get the "Wonded in Action" medal
