But I feel that disabling a farm building with spy should not immidiately kill all the extra population enabled by farm building. Instead it should give negative pop growth instead for some reason the quote is not working on my machine, but I agree with the above, when you delete a farm on a planet you capture because there are too many, or for what ever reason, you don't kill off the population right away. People just leave until it gets down to the level the planet can support.

I agree that this 29K cap is a problem and a nuisance. As FC said, you end up spending all your money so that you don't loose it. This forces you to build up unreasonable numbers of ships that are never needed or used and pushes the military score skyhigh. But, if that is what you have to do to play the game, then it is not really a real time strategy game. It is a micromanaged monopoly game.

I don't consider this either an exploit or a cheat. It is just part of the game. One doesn't consider the extra bonuses that the AI gets on the harder games to be an exploit or a cheat, so whey apply it to humans who discover the limits (or lack thereof) of the programming. There are a lot of features like this in the game. The Diplomats have a whole thread at the core dedicated to this type of thing.

Good morning all. DA froze up on me yesterday with no crash report available, so will just reboot and try some more. Wiped out the Yor with nary a problem. Got enough Yor armor to make a boat-load or butt protectors for visitors to the core.

Welcome Purge. I have been playing around with DA. All the special planets with a custome race takes some getting used to. The AI with their inate ability to colonize them rush in and take them before I have the tech researched. Need to reanalyze my initial abilities, or play the Yor and not worry about it with their super abilities.

I don't like it much either, FC. Need to rethink the starting abilities so that one can colonize the demented planents. The AI swoop in and gobble them all up before I can even research the appropriate tech.
