The "need permanent license?" Is very missable. I didn't see it at first when it first went up with Fences 5. It is too subtle and almost looks like the tiny terms and conditions that no one ever reads, and it is just font, so it isn't clear you are supposed to click it as a link. So even some of the people that are against subscriptions are going to miss it
Its funny oftentimes.. A Mac user loves Apple and dislikes Microsofts A Windows user dislikes Microsoft, but dislikes Mac even more A Mac just works but at the cost of software / hardware freedom and flexibility A Windows OS kind of doesn't work, but with the software / hardware flexibility you can make it better regardless of what Microsoft is trying to do.
To be clear: This isn't unique/new to tab headers. "Move to Desktop" does appear specifically when dragging from a Folder Portal (to a tab-header, any regular Fence group, or the desktop itself).
Correct. But because the text says "move to desktop" when dragging a file over a folder portal header I almost thought the new feature wasn't working.
Added the ability to drag and drop directly onto the Folder Portal tab headers
Works fine [e digicons][/e] , but the text still says "->move to desktop" Also, The icon rule, "use same spacing inside and outside of Fence groups" is no longer changing based on checking / unchecking

Definitely put some thought into what you want ahead of time; if permanent licenses are important to you then that is probably where you should go. Just understand that Fences is averaging a new release every 1 - 2 yea

They are listed in type based rules you just need to check mark it and select which fence you want new folders to go under. *If you mean the download, document, ect options, I would strongly recommend using a folder portal instead.
Remember, Fences is an app that works with the Windows Desktop only. The rules section only applies to regular Fences, not Folder Portal Fences. Whereas a Fence portal is more an extension to the file explorer and adheres to the rules and settings listed in file explore
Tough one. At this point, if I were to take a guess, it would be that there may be a conflict with explorer opening up properly at startup. Things to check Check for corrupt system files Run command prompt as administrator and type in " sfc /scannow " (no quotations) and press enter Check your drivers especially your graphics card (I have seen gpu driver's in particular end up being
I can confirm that the "rounded" style does not work with Fences that do not have tabs. As of Beta 2, untabbed Fences will always use the segmented style. However, If you change your Fences tab style to "segmented" instead of "rounded" then they will all be the same size. For your second alignment issues between Fences and Folder portals... If you go to layout > icon spacing > and check the box that says "use same spacing inside and outside of Fenc
I think the next thing I would check is to make sure start 11 is not set to " automatic delayed" in your services but rather "automatic" https://forums.stardock.com/527516/page/1/#3966524 See reply #11 here
trangely, Start11 is not listed in the Startup App
Thats normal.
I have know how to do a clean boot. I'm just asking you to please explain what it is that I am supposed to "try".
Basically the clean boot is supposed to see if there is interference from two running services or programs. For example, start 11 is an explorer extension, if by chance you had another explorer extension running it could cause interference. I have seen this type of behavior, for example, between an out of date
Here is another way to do a clean boot via Microsoft https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd#id0ebbd=windows_11 Of course on step 3 and 5 you would leave start 11 enabled instead of disabled.

I read on discord before that with Multiplicity 4 they were doing a / b testing with the business edition. With this people were randomly selected for a free upgraded business edition for 30 days. Possibly they are doing the same thing with fences 6 too before business edition launches.

I saw on another thread that you guys don't keep any past installers so I guess I have to just wait i
I prefer folder portals myself. For Stardock software in general, I created a dedicated easy to find folder. That is also where I put all my folder portals that are specific to Fences. Works pretty good for me.
