there have been issues with ideology on colonizing planets lately, they do not always do so nowadays. Used to be, all planets provided ideology upon colonizing (unless in your home system). Events will certainly give you points.

colonizing planets for 10 (or more, with DLC) galactic events mega-events (with DLC) certain ideology-specific buildings (once a path has been started)
it would certainly help if the tool-tips were somewhat accurate. Trial and error is fun, but I cannot take a game seriously until I've played a few "practice games" for each ideology path.
I like the idea of cities being hubs, and scalable/upgradeable, very much. I also like the idea of Capitals upgrading over time, at the very least with improved adjacencies.
4 - I get messages saying someone wants to trade but they are busy right now. Click wait and nothing happens. Eventually just click ignore to move the game on.
Got this one too.
yep, strip mine. The social boni that cybernetics get are great, and ship building is made up for with the extra tiles. I hated the Yor before Crusade. Now I love them. Completely fixed, IMO. I do not miss the tech advances on increasing population at all.
- Cultural Center has the same stats as the previous building (Consulate).
Likewise for the Work Camp (5% all manuf), the first upgrade is the same, the second goes to 7%. Seems like there should be a 6% in there somewhere
- Basic Laser has the same stats as Laser, but needs more space and 1 Elerium
I do not see this as a bug. Gain tech to get the laser for less mass, and no Elerium cost, seems like an upgrade to me.
Since I already wrote a (positive) review for GalCiv III, I do not see a way to review Crusade on the Steam pages (despite finding it a better game, overall). This does seem like an unfair way for Steam to promote games. EDIT - nevermind, I found a means to review the expansion separately, and am now doing so.
I have been playing GalCiv since the first Windows version. Crusade is by far the best. Don't let mixed reviews get you down, guys.
