Thoka: I'm sorry, but the option to have both "autohide" and "not always on top" is not available in the latest version and we are not currently intending on switching it back. Too many ambiguous sounding options flying around was the problem - the result is the new condensed "interaction" options. They cover all the main modes. I recommend using the "always on bottom" option, which behaves exactly as autohide + not-always-on-top would except for when its not activated is appears on the

Eek! Yes yeah, f33db4ck which version are you using? v1.9? Also, does exiting and re-opening the program solve the problem? Thanks, -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Lead Developer
Hi Simon, Correct yeah this is a known issue - we're looking to address this in a future release Thanks and we hope you're getting good use out of ObjectDock!
I believe there was an additional plugin for that that has always been included... "KLPlayer" I believe was the name of it. Any luck?
tigerlady: i find it highly highly unlikly that ObjectDock is actually crashing firefox. I recommend trying the various options in ObjectDock's new "troubleshooting options" dialog to see if any of the options help your situation.
FYI: The missing ODImg.dll is in fact a problem with your installation. But good news, the next release of ObjectDock will rid use of it My only concern, I'm not postitive that that file being missing isn't an indication of other more sneaky installation problems. But I guess we'll find out. -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Lead Developer
canmandeco: I did look in to that, but it ended up being tricker / couldn't use the same system. For those it's going to have to perhaps be a percent also...but...percent of the height of the dock instead of % of height of the item. If you apply the same algorithm as with the tiles? Looks goofy We'll see about something for a v1.9x <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 align="absmid
ClydePark: have you tried emailing stardock's support regarding this? [email protected] Hopefully they can help you out!
Zgibbs: ObjectDock itself doesn't need to be x64 for this all to happen, but, each of the modules need to be made compatible, and a bridge needs to be created so that the two can communicate effectivly. I can indeed promise that we will be doing both start menu and system tray functionality in x64 -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Lead Developer
xquidam: 64-bit system tray not yet supported, turns out it's quite quite a bit of extra work! We're working on that for a near future update Also you should be aware that system tray is a plus-only feature. System tray though is there and works better than ever!
Thanks Excalpius, we're exploring our options I like the checkbox idea -Jeff
Hi mark343gs: Sorry to say, that ability *was* indeed purposfully removed from this release. We're seeing what we can do to bring it back in the future in a simpler kind of way. Very sorry that a touch of functionality was lost for sake of "dumbbing things down", but the good news is we are hoping to find a smart way to bring it back. Worst case scenario, perhaps an option in the advanced options to get it back in its original form. Please refer to this thread for more info: ht
Ah, the fanning is slow even in the weather docklet? Which OS are you using, XP or Vista? And what kind of video card? You may want to head out and try the latest drivers if you haven't updated in a while
No yeah that is definitely RightClick... it'll do a refresh when the WindowBlinds skin changes but it shouldn't do it if the skin hasn't changed! Anything that you're doing with WB at all that might make RightClick think that the skin has changed? Quite odd! I do actually have a thought though... now keep in mind we're still updating RightClick to support Vista fully the current release wasn't designed "for Vista" persay. I think a problem that might be coming in to play is that UAC was
Hi Dave, Hrm. Which part is slow? The animation / fanning out? Or is there just a long delay before you see anything at all? Also, if the animation, is it slow too when scrolling through the items left/right, or is it just the flyout animation itself? Thanks, -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Lead Developer
Yep, took steps to find and eliminate the problem(s) You're very welcome, I'm glad you enjoy the software!!
Hi baopee, "DockShellHook.dll" uses a mouse hook that gets notified of all mouse activity so we can effectivly do the zoom animation, etc...and yes as benign as that is some security packages that are desperatly looking for things to flag will flag it down for that. Don't worry, we can assure you there is no threat -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Lead Developer
noetus: I've made note of the problem in my log to take a look at - unfortunatly we're running around doing a lot of things so won't be able to address that specific one right at this moment, but I will say that we are indeed looking at improving ObjectDock's behavior in general regarding screen resolution and monitor changes in the future. (E.g. so tabbed docks don't get pushed into some unwanted position if you change resolution down temporarilly and go back, etc etc.) Sorry that you'
Lexilempel: sorry but not at this time Though... if you create a "toggle autohide", then it will have similar effect. When autohide is toggled "on", reserving the edge will be temporarilly disabled. When you toggle autohide back off, reserving the edge will be turned back on. (I believe this trick will work with zooming docks only at this time). Hope that helps! -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Lead Dev
upeters: very very odd! Thanks for the video, yeah, that is certainly strange. Well lets take a shot at figuring out what's going on. Can you package up your ObjectDock settings files and mail them over to support? Make sure you reference it as a v1.9 bug to make it easier to find. You can get at your ObjectDock settings by going to the "Troubleshooting Options" area, and selecting the third button from the bottom that says "Open my ObjectDock settings folder so I can backup my settings". <b
Si OrdesI - please refer to the other thread We're hard at work with our partner AccuWeather adding support for more and more cities with our service - just workin out the kinks in the data transfer. Thanks!
Hi everyone! Just so you know, its a brand new weather backend on our servers, so we're still working on that for international locations. If your location doesn't work right now, don't worry we're working hard in conjunction with AccuWeather to get *all* available locations up and running! A note also about locations: right now it can be a little finicy about what you put in. Particularly, if you'
MontyXP: we did see a problem with that on one of our test boxes. Good news is it's fixed Now that 1.9 is getting real exposure we're finding a few little things we missed an fixing them promptly Also yeah Excalpius youre right... JukEboXCreaTionS: you have task grouping on. You'll want to go into the pro
Darken: Because in Vista, the Programs Files folder can often be completly locked down, by default. As result we've been forced to move settings to the user's data folder, and wanted to go with consistent behavior. I figure better to put this information in one place that is accessible vs. hidden away in an appdata folder.
jtherrien: unfortunatly I'm pretty sure there's a way around that :-/ Show Desktop I'm able to work around even though that does some certainly goofy stuff...but Flip3d is at far lower level than i can reach. Though, for tabbed docks if they're not always on top and you have them set to show in the taskbar, I think that they'll show up!
