aha. That looks like the issue. You used the snathi star system and ships. I was gong to say the first screenshot has a slider bar only revealing the top 1/3 of the options, but then I saw a later screenshot has all of them. Coolness. Thanks for your paience and help!
I posted a second version of each yesterday with original ship sets that came with the basic game on Workshop. They are listed as "", i.e. Ugor 2, and Arcane Conservancy 2. If they are not working, I am at a loss as to why, seeing all others work with them. Possibly it might be the new planet or the “Scavenge” ability, both are used with the Ugor. Neither was used with the Arcane Conservancy. My only question is do yo
I just changed the ship sets in both to one of the original types for those who are having problems with the new scavenger ship set just released. Hope this helps. They are labeled "2", so the original one is also available.
Just tried it, still getting the error on both races. I swapped both non-image files (data and faction files). again, got the files from nexus. Only thing I can imagine is somehow I got the original not t
Sorry both used the new ships put in by GCIII on the 1.3 update. Did you pull them from the workshop or Nexus? Also, are you able to change them. I can repost them if needed with a different ship design if you can't change them.
I can't change anything on them at all, neither one appears in game as an editable race because of the error. I did pull them from Nexus.
looks like v 1.31, and I can't get a good save to guarantee that there will be two popups at one time, sorry. But it does happen multiple times per game.
Two quick fixes needed: The UGOR and Arcane Conservancy are both throwing an error that their ship style(s) is invalid. Otherwise a fun set of races.
Is there a legend that explains al the icons? I've guessed at a few, but not all.
Any time I get two or more popup windows (two races send diplomacy, pirates, events, etc) later windows close earlier ones preventing me from reading or interacting with them. Will update with version# and save file later. In the meantime, is there any known workaround?
This looks way too fun. How many missions in the campaign?
The thing is the AI actually treats the borders much as the player does. They can't enforce them and they don't declare war if you transgress them, but it sure pisses them off. Borders in this game represent the area in which your civilization holds the dominant influence, but they are not enforceable. Your political borders extend essentially to the orbits of your planets and that's it. However, civs (both AI and hu
I build larger and larger construction ships endlessly. I have a design with 6 construction modules per ship and move 24. I still have never "finished" upgrading al my starbase. Never.
I wasn't the one who necroed it. It's GavinRuneBlade's fault. [e digicons]>:([/e]
when in doubt, it's usually my fault. And it did only look a few months old, I'm terrible with dates....
It's not just sci-fi. The real world is like that too. Just look at the names of laws or public programs. I believe it was Reagan who said "the most frightening words ever spoken are Hi I'm from the government and I'm here to help".
Greetings! Today I would like to ask you guys some questions about strategy games. 1. What specific features of diplomacy do you traditionally like the most? I want you to be as specific as you can be. Which parts of diplomacy from any game do you like the most? What parts do you remember long after playing the most? 2. Looking back, how many turns do your favorite games last? This is important to know the specific number
I beg to differ on the tutorial. I am also brand new and the tutorial is extraordinarily frustrating and non helpful. I suspect I'll be talking about what a terrible experience my first two tutorial games were for years. Yes it tells you what the menus and ui elements are. But it also gives you no advice on strategy or tactics, most importantly none on economy. Playing an easy random game taught me vastly more than the tutorial. That said, I put post in the
Can I get some help with the basics on the tutorial and the first campaign mission? I've tried both and they are tremendously non-fun and non-helpful. I basically lost the tutorial when myfrigate died andit would be hundreds of turns to research anywhere near the techs needed to attack the drengin panet and they had hordes of of starbases all over and I was being swallowed up by iconian influence. Restarted and needed something bordering on a thousand turns to get a fleet strong e
