An important point to consider is the shipyards themselves? Are they ground-based or space-based? If the latter, even destruction of the shipyards seems logical. If the former, it seems that production should continue regardless of orbital status.

You can order it online directly from Stardock for download.
Knowingly is key here. I don't know the FULL story behind Hot Coffee, so for all I know, it could have been an easter egg left there by one bored programmer. Were that the case, the company would have needed independent analysis of every line of code before release to catch it. Do we really want this kind of a burden on an industry already having problems with production costs? Even if this case doesn't apply to Hot Coffee, Easter Eggs ha
To be honest, I'm also very interested in developer chats with non-Stardock folks. As a long-time gamer, I'd love to hear about the design process for some of the games I've enjoyed off of TGN
Wow... Great idea, Zoomba! I hope to see some of these changes soon! (Better page=More traffic=More TGN member(subscriber)ships=More money for Stardock=More Staff=MORE GAMES (and other programs)! Can't go wrong with that one
I had a very similar issue with saving a custom race... The result, captured by SmartException, was emailed to Stardock as requested.
With the race text... How will that work with custom-designed races? Will there be a set of "generic" conversation lines for the differing moralities fo custom civs?
It is strange that everyone's getting upset by one of the few parts of the game that depicts an activity that is in no way illegal to engage in. I seem to recall all such characters in the game being of adult age, and also seem to recall consensual sex between adults as legal in the entirety of the US... Compare that to crack houses, graffiti, drive-by shootings, cop killing, vehicular manslaughter, etc... What's the problem?
WinBox! (We have DosBox now... in 20 years, we'll probably have the same for early Windows builds.)
Well, in that case, I'm a member, then . I just hope that you guys are still able to attract new members under the new system. One more thing... looking that the TG.net developer page, it still mentions that the developer will get royalties off of the network as a whole... Is that a holdover from the old network, or does it still apply?
Double post... sorry.
I'm a subscriber, and I do see the benefits that you are mentioning, Yarlen. I was merely stating that it might be difficult to hook a new subscriber, as they won't really appreciate these benefits until they've been with Stardock for a few months. You've got the old subscribers convinced... It's just a matter of figuring out how best to attract new subscribers. Many companies talk about their outstanding support for their products. Few actually f
So... Now instead of the game being rated for 17+, it's for 18+ Big distinction
I can't totally agree, Yarlen. A new subscriber is going to look at the prices of games offered through TG.net, look online for the cheapest price on the retail games... Realize that they can get it cheaper online, then stop thinking of TG.net as any kind of "deal" except for stardock products as soon as they are released, and indie games. For example: TG.net Galciv: $39.95 or 4 tokens ($28) Galciv AP: $19.95 or 2 tokens (
I've noticed the same. It usually happens on a topic to which I've replied in the past.
Reading the first part of the ruling, it is certainly not an attack on p2p as a whole. The Supreme Court mainly came down on Grokster and Morpheus for DIRECTLY advertising the ease of finding illegal files on their networks. As such, the noninfringing uses do not grant carte blanche protection to these software developers. The message is clear: Discourage illegal use of your site/software Advertise against illegal distribut
Heh... Even though I have Darwinia (pre-ordered it directly from introversion).. I hope you are able to add it to TG.net. I'd love to see more people get a chance to experience it.
And another fine example of Stardockian humor emerges. I certainly understand your point in this post. Personally, I don't mind the lack of "realism" in the GalCiv games. While they may not be worthy of classroom use, they remain fun games. And fun games are worth playing.
I have to agree with Yarlen here. Jets'n'Guns was my first purchase, and I can't seem to stop playing it. The graphics may look a bit dated, but the gameplay is very enjoyable.
That's exactly what I was getting at, 4D. I can see myself getting boosters every few months if the game quality stays high. With the 2 years I have now, if I get a booster every 11 or fewer months, it would lead to a steady accumulation in membership time available. One more thing: The new titles added aren't in the new releases section of the website yet.
OK... A few questions here: 1) How often will new games be added now? 2) Will most new games be 1-2 token indie games? 3) What will we do when we have 5 years remaining on our memberships and no tokens to spend?
I'd suggest re-downloading SDC and reinstalling. That fixed the crash issue for me.
Thanks for the update, yarlen.
I can see Astral Masters and Breakquest now in SDC, but not the rest.
I suggest re-downloading and re-installing stardock central. Also... As I'm not a SD employee, I can't answer about GC2 without more info. Did you preorder it? Are you an active TG.net subecriber? Basically... Why should you be able to see it?
