So here is my list of the best rts games. 1. Starcraft broodwar and Starcraft 2 (best rts games ever in terms of Balance and PVP) 2. Warcraft 3 (Really microintensive rts with a hero mechanic quite unique game and it was really fun to play) 3. Supreme Commander (Really great rts which focuses more on macro games and with epic battles like the earlier total annihalation) 4. Z steel soldiers (The only RTS with only one r
I went from a 6 core phenomII to an 8 core PhenomII gained about 6fps. I went 8 for video ripping where it made a 50% gain. All other components were the same.
Bad example. You went from a true 6 core (1090?) Phenom II to a quasi 8 core FX (4 cores, and 4 cores that 'share'). I know there was someone who had a monster 8 true cores, 16 threads xeon and they didn't see a bump at all. <
Those are suggestions. But non-stop complaining is useless. That poster literally dumped on every suggestion without a positive thing to say. There are valid criticisms, but if they're not constructive they're not useful. Here are things the community can do that makes a difference to developers (not just RTS games but any game): Review the game on Steam Support multiplayer Support modding, work together on that (the mod scene for SupCom was due to fans making tools that let people manage mods) Participate on game wikis related to the game you like Participat
## Vulkan ## This is now working in our internal builds! This might show up in 1.5. AMD is providing a lot of assistance to us in getting Vulkan support so please be sure to give some kudos and credit to AMD for Vulkan in PC gaming. It'll run great on any GPU that supports Vulkan.
Wouldn't this also open up the game to Linux people as well?

What about all the people that spent countless hours with the game (who know the game the best), just because they bought it from some place other that steam, that makes them irrelevant to the score, when it is the exact opposite that should happen! Remember all those times that Stardock was telling people to do reviews to up the score? Well, now, they can't do squat, unless those people actually bought it on steam.

This is the most idiotic thing I have heard. http://store.steampowered.com/news/24155/
Changes To The Review Score As a result of this, we are making some changes to how review scores are calculated. As of today, the recent and overall review scores we show at the top of a product page will no longer include reviews written by customers that activated the game through a Steam product key. [b]Customers that received the game from a source out
A Vulkan version won't affect player counts. Lowering the hardware requirements and increasing skirmish replayability is the key.
If a Vulkan port was made, then you open the door to Linux, Apple, and other platforms, which would bring in more people. Using Vulkan also does make the game more playable on older hardware, since it is faster, then it can work with lower spec machines. A random
I usually play the game in Single Player, I just don't like the ranked games, (reasons: small maps) I think I played all the scenarios available in the game, but they are ok... Stardock need to do something better with scenarios. (More interesting story per scenario) What about a Multi-map scenario? will that be possible? I am also Waiting for an automatic matchmaking for medium, large, and epic maps.
Hmm, lost all momentum from the steam sale and more. http://steamcharts.com/app/228880#3m I think a big problem is the DLC, it just isn't bringing people back, and they don't want to pay, so, seem a better idea is to have a expansion pack that contains everything released so far for $5 or so and call it a player reward. BTW, any news on the Vulkan front? Getting this game out to linux will increase player count as well... and all those that can&#39
It is the map DLC which came out today. Even if someone does not own it they get it on their system so as not to divide the community; anyone can still join anyone's game, regardless of whether they own the DLC or not. Just hosted a couple of games with the new maps, I don't think the others had bought the DLC, so lucky for them [e digicons]:)[/e]
Oh, so that is how they are doing it... I guess it makes sense, in
Good Review but with very little info, keep the good work Stardock.
That "review" wasn't a review at all. There was no meat in it, it was just a fluff piece. I seriously doubt they spent more than 30 mins with the game. I guess that is why nobody every buys a game from the recommendations of that magazine. AotS needs to have a real, full review of the latest versi
