The first window that you see when you select to create a custom race, the "Customize Civilization" window, lets you choose an already created race, and there's a Delete button in the lower left of the selected race's picture that will actually delete the race..
Aha, I'll hafta check that out next time I play, thanks!

I didn't have time to really play a game last night, so I just created a bunch of custom races. Here are some issues I've noticed. I know a few of these have popped up in other threads, but I'd rather be thorough. When creating a custom race, the mousewheel doesn't work on some occasions (ie, selection a color scheme for ships). Tooltip text can often be cut off by the max popup size. Tooltip text occasionally acts funny in the Traits window.
Totally get that this is beta, but this is a bit unprofessional. I expect better from you, Stardock.
You obviously didn't read the patch notes! [e digicons][/e] They fixed some typos but gave us others so we'd have something to complain about.

Personally, I wouldn't want or use most of these. Others may differ with me! On large maps, I imagine you'd end up with some major problems. I like the idea of being able to assign a type of starbase to a given hex, but NOT the auto-build of constructors. Who knows which shipyard will end up producing the constructor? One close or the next available...which could be 100 hexes away. Would run into trouble same as #1. This might be kinda nice, but I ca

I'm with the OP. I *love* the colonization events but some don't work well with the Yor. It feels jarring and unpolished*. Regarding conquest/influence conversion, in Master of Orion 3 if you conquered a planet without wiping out the population first, you kept the original race on the planet and could then build colony ships with that race. The advantage was that each race had their preferred type of planet so you were expanding your options: not one size fits all like GC3, wh

Yeah, I know the final AI isn't in, just a basic placeholder. I was curious to see its current state and whether it was the cheater type though. :)

I'd rather see a limiting of choices based on previous selections. IE, If I choose any of the first level of Malevolent options, I would be automatically locked out of the top level or two of the benevolent tree. Take a 2nd tier and you're locked out of the opposing ideology's 3rd, or 2nd and 3rd tier (Stardock determines balance). If you choose a 3rd tier option of either benevolent or malevolent, you are locked out of ANY (further) choices in the opposing ideology. Any picks mad

Actually, I can in fact confirm that the AI *does* cheat - the AI knows where planets are without scouting and it's easy to confirm. I was curious about the current state of the AI, so I turned on the AI using the command prompt (` key), then started a new game. The AI sent several colony ships straight to habitable planets deep in the fog of war. Cheater cheaters. Based on the AI empire rate of expansion, I'm also deeply suspicious that the AI gets bonuses to populati

I'm currently playing a game with the Yor - medium map, all 5 AI races on high difficulty, otherwise default layout. I'm new to the GalCiv 3 series, so if this is "working as intended" by all means let me know. I'd unlocked the Entertainment Capital (EC) colony improvement and decided to place one on a few of my least-happy worlds. Much to my surprise, I learned that each EC adds 75% morale boost to ALL empire planets.

If I may ask a noob question as well since I'm new to the GalCiv series...what's the point of mining? I can't find anything currently in the game that state any bonuses are received. Durantium, Elerium (sp?), and antimatter all seem to have no purpose. The relics are fantastic, but the resources...? Am I missing the obvious? Thanks in advance.
