Usually, the release date is the date that the game ships. So if the release date is the 20th or 21st, then the game ships that day. Stores usually have it in stock and preorders usually arrive the next day. I don't know if that is the same with Stardock or not, that is just what I have seen with other games that I have preordered from other companies in the past.

Excellent ideas. I was reading a review on Gamespy.com about Civilization IV and a new feature they are introducing that I think would help give Gal Civ more flavor and help civilizations feel more unique and more our own: "Speaking of powerful folks, the heads of state are not the only important individuals in the game. Civilization IV introduces "great people," individuals who can make a huge impact on your civ. Certain conditions might trigger off the ap
e game and make mods more interesting as well as add alot of flavor to the game.
tats on bonuses - research, espionage, etc. Just a thought. The mods that allow players to change the one governor portrait in galciv 1 was a start but I would love to see that expanded upon and augmented.
Present and accounted for. Ok, well present anyway and eagerly awaiting the beta.
