If i create a new game with a custom race that has the pirate ship style, i can not create a new ship in the designer because no hulls are showing up (the hulls tab is totally blank) - i can use an existing design and edit that. i then started jumping back to the main menu (not exiting the game itself), and created new games with other factions, after a few tries this bug happened with other factions as well; though i can't tell a pattern.

in multiplayergames ppl happily pay for subscriptions, cosmetic- , qol- and or boosting items...
an alternative might be to alter the StaticShipBlueprintDefs.xml file. there is an entry BasicConstructorBlueprint but, as far as i understand it so far, you can dial in pretty much everything that you want, like a constructor with 10 construction modules and, it uses while e.g ShipBlueprintDefs.xml uses , meaning that you'll have to think up a fixed ship scheme that wo
I just started a new game (by appending "cheat") and used "unlock" in the console. When i did so i got the "unlock all the xyz ideology traits" steam achievements unlocked, e.g. "We Care For The Least of Us" (Unlock all the Benevolent ideology traits). While i do not care much about steam achievements, i don't think it should be like that.
