Yes I did that, replacing battle music with some of the sound track from space battleship yamato and adding a large classical score, however I'm talking about faction dependant soundtracks

I have some concerns about the way weapons have been handled in GC, I was wondering if small ships and large ships would have drastically different loadouts, Perhaps taking a leaf out of Space Empires' book. As well as different weapons simply having different sizes, you can also research mounts that modify them. Small mounts, heavy mounts, huge mounts, spinal mounts, and the weapon systems were different for fighters ( smaller and miniaturized with different aesthetics, which would presu

I take it in the full game each faction will have their own theme song on the diplomacy screen, but all custom races do not. Why not have it so a player can set their custom faction theme, from an mp3, For example I want to make a galactic empire type faction, and I want my theme to be something by Holst or Mozart. I'd even want a custom battle theme if possible to be something like Mars, Ride of the Valkyries or Hall of The Mountain King when I'm fighting them/ as them. Not sur

I'd like for, like in galactic civilizations 2, a prompt to come up when a constructor has made contact with a spacestation. As I am a busy emperor with things to focus on other than spacestations, I need the fact that the constructor has arrived to be delivered to me so I can decide what to build (or to withhold on construction). I often find myself forgetting that i've sent a constructor to one of my many dozens of spacestations, and I do not realise until I click on the station man

I think the different government types would come into play too. For example in a democracy you cannot pick and choose your governors, but as an empire you can pick and choose at will.

Perhaps in the future the way of "claiming" a planet will be sticking a bunch of plebs on it. It's rather crazy in GC2 how fast population grows, because it's encouraged. Perhaps they don't use AI because of the Yor and everything is done by real people operating machinery, Perhaps nobody is immortal (brains in vats controlling their bodies remotely for example) and just natural fleshy humans because of some batshit ideology. Perhaps everyone is born and educated by the military a

Say I build ships with ultimately greater ranged firepower but flimsy hulls, I would want them in battle to manouver backwards and keep out of range with their superior speed and gradually wear away at the enemy. So I'd like for the AI to capitalize on their superiority in battle instead of merely going at it. Superior thrust, shield strength but short range awesome firepower? CHARGE!

I love the ship builder utility, but I feel that many of the parts aren't really allowing much freedom. Many have jagged edges and points and are too detailed, allowing for very little personalization. For example there is a fighter cockpit that has too many bits on it. I wanted to merge it with a simple hull, but the jagged edges were sticking through the hull. I feel most parts should be very simple, cockpits, without the extra attachments (fins and such should be up to the player where

I have some concerns and advice about the way that events are in GC2 that might surface in GC3 as well. A lot of the events make it clear that manpower (or slaves) is the main driving force of production and industry in the future. I think this is stupid for a few reasons, which I'll get into. First off, even today machines are taking people's jobs, as they are cheaper to run and more efficient than fleshy meatbag humans, making many people redundant. Tractors, industr
