I've got a few crashes like this too, which I may have included already in this post with 14 crash dumps. But certainly, sometimes you get a crash when finishing research of technologies or after choosing a new technology. Best regards, Steven.

I agree, DropBox rocks. [e digicons][/e] You start with 2GB (or 2000 MB whatever ) and you can get 250 MB more just be doing a few relatively easy things. [e digicons][/e] Best regards, Steven. PS: Another feature I've found, with this forum this time. is - if you hold Shift while pressing Enter, you can get to the next line without it putting a space between the lines. Mild genius, in a quirky sort of way. ;-)
I can confirm this. Best regards, Steven.
Hmm, sounds good. Best regards, Steven.
Well, you could always use a Google account to upload your files to Google Docs and then share the link to the file... =) Btw: I bet out of all the people who have installed DropBox there would be a certain amount who were techies who would have scrutinized the program and made sure it didn't send any information it shouldn't, and who would have spoken out if it was doing naughty things, code-wise. ;-) I don't think you have much to worry about, but to upload a file to share i
And don't forget their are the modmods of Fall from Heaven II, and the modmodmods etc. ;-) One modmod of Fall Further (Fall Further was one of the first modmods of base FFH2) which is becoming better and better currently is RiFE (Rise from Erebus) . Even though Elemental is going to be fantastic, RiFE is doing a lot of cool things with the Civ4 engine and are adding more cool, and quite balanced feat
Sounds like a good idea. FFH2 allows free spells if you have more than one of the same type of mana node, so in the context of Elemental, I think ideas like the above could work well. =) Best regards, Steven.
It would be great if you upload your crash debug to the Public folder in Dropbox and edit the above message so it just references that zip file, rather than making a huge post on the forum. :-) Best regards, Steven.
I had this issue early on. Since I know that occassionally this sort of issue can happen with Firefox (will not run because part of it is still stuck in memory) I knew what to try to fix it, and it worked. But still, this is a large bug and needs to be fixed quickly, especially if it's one of the earliest bugs that can happen in a Beta 3 game. Best regards, Steven.
Quoting Gorstagg, reply 15 Quoting Frogboy, reply 14 One of the thigns that the Fallen got but the Kingdoms haven't gotten yet are more buildigns that can only be built once in a kingdom. We are also looking at having a level-up screen for cities that let players pick a bonus each time they level up to make those cities more powerful in a particular area. Oooooh!! Now your o
I can confirm this. Even when you have an Old Growth Forest near to your city, mousing over it says "Research Construction to harvest" even when you already have, and the Lumber Mill does not appear in the valid build choices list at all. So this appears to be a bug. Best regards, Steven. PS: Where are the screenshots and saved games for Elemental put?
I think these are all great ideas, and I would strongly support them. [e digicons][/e] Best regards, Steven.
I agree with: 1a. archers being able to get a starting hit from an adjacent square that would be mitigated by any armor the opponent had; 1b. starting hits from any archer/s would result in tactical combat automatically being joined between their square and the square they just attacked; and 2. archers being a lot less likely to be attacked early in automatic combat resolve. I like vollies, but only as a once off shot that takes into account armor *and* which a
Yes, I like the idea of this. =) Best regards, Steven.
I agree with these points. Best regards, Steven.
I think this is a great idea. [e digicons][/e] Best regards, Steven.
Great idea. [e digicons][/e] Best regards, Steven.
I agree. While realism on its own is not the be all and end all, the different game elements do need to "gel", and that just can't happen fully if there are some really "strange" rules. =) What do other people think? Best regards, Steven.
If you are using Win 7 (Pro 32 bit), they should be in "C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental War of Magic", where "C" is the drive letter of the drive Windows is installed on. Best regards, Steven.
Duplicate because of forum issue.
Or at least to the capital. I like how in Civ4 you can only get a global benefit of a resource if it is at least connected to your capital. Since Elemental is a kind of civilization-building game, I think it's reasonable that cities have to be joined - or as another suggestion, make a travelling time between them (or to the capital) before a newly created resource from a city is able to be used by other cities. =) What do you think, especially about the last idea?
Before I went to the Beta 3 forum, I accumulate 14 crashes. They are linked to in the [.805][Request] Please focus on stability first thread. I think they all relate to crashes from the reasons I talked about in my post in that thread. Best regards, Steven.
I'm getting a crash when loading a game about every three times I try to load a game. Sometimes when I try to run the game from Impulse it does not run. Also, if you could fix two things quickly it would be - 1. prevent the game from crashing when loading a saved game, and 2. give an option to load a saved game without having to quit. I've only had the game for less then a day and I'm already up to 92 Plays in Impulse, so those two issues reported in this thread are quite im
Although all of us have yet to see Beta 3, based on the Beta 3 Dev Journal, I have to absolutely concur with the OP that Essence is now broken.
Well, the main thing is that the game has to work well with all its elements working together to provide depth, continual interest and a variety of viable strategies. It's no good if essence does not mean much if you're not a heavy magic user, and i
I know it might be a bit early to tell, but if it proves shortly that some Sovereign types don't really use or require much essence at all, would there be enough time to change the way essence works so that it is an important factor in all types of Sovereigns, for example tying military elements and stats of Sovereigns to gathering and most effective use of essence? =) Best regards, Steven.
