I'm excited to hear that a Legendary Heroes follow up WILL happen someday! FE:LH was definitely the best version of fantasy 4x Stardock produced and I'd love to get a more modern update. I'm really curious about the unnamed fantasy strategy game too. Will it be a part of the Elemental universe or a brand new IP? Also didn't expect to see GalCiv4 so soon! 2021 is already looking up. 😁

GalCiv 2 was not only my first GalCiv experience, but it was my first civ style 4x experience ever and turned me into a 4x mega fan! It took me forever to get into because it was so dense, but something about it just made me want to push through that learning curve and master the gameplay. It had such an impact on me that GalCiv 3 never quite hooked me in the same way, which I think is unfair, but it's like competing with a heavily biased memory rather than an objective comparison. GalCiv3 is

Whatever happened to radioactive, toxic, barren, etc. worlds? They showed up all the time in GalCiv2 and I thought that was a very elegant way to prohibit the early colony rush. It was like having a carrot dangled in front of you making you want to research aquatic worlds or whatever so you could be the first to claim it. I barely ever see them in GalCiv3. They should give an option to increase the likelihood of finding planets you don't have the research to colonize yet. That would solve the

Many moons ago I bought the original Sorcerer King, loved the humor and the beautiful graphics, but then quit playing for some reason I forgot. Just recently, I fired it up and fell in love all over again, playing on Beginner so I could re-learn the game's fundamentals. After about a few dozen turns, however, the Sorcerer King dropped massive armies all over the map before I could even build up a reasonable defense and I lost one of my 2 cities in the blink of an eye. Then I remembered why I

Thanks for the update on the BIG expansion! I have dabbled in GalCiv3 since Alpha, but without espionage and planetary invasion it just hasn't felt complete yet. When GalCiv2 hit version 2.0 it totally blew the game wide open for me. Hoping this expansion does the same for 3. Will Terror Stars be coming back?

I agree with your last point. The planetary improvements should be sortable by what bonus they offer i.e. a tab for economic improvements, one for influence, etc. I remember GalCiv2 being much more user friendly in that regard, but it has been awhile since I played part 2. I also remember improving a tile by placing an upgrade on top of it instead of having to delete it first. The planetary UI could definitely use some work.

Is it just me or are the notifications in GalCiv3 really thin? I don't even look at them most of the time because they are buried on the third tab of the section of UI they are in. I actually miss the falling tile style of notifications from GalCiv2 and other 4X like the Total War games. They also don't seem to tell me anything important either. I traded for a starbase then it culture flipped back to the original owner and I never even noticed until later. A lit

Wow! I can't believe all of the negativity. The internet age has really emboldened unbalanced people. I hear this from touring musicians as well, that fans who pay for VIP treatment feel entitled to more than what the artists even have to give. This is a serious issue with Steam that I never considered before. For someone with 1000 hours of playtime to intentionally attempt to sabotage the success of a game they apparently love over a change in gameplay is astounding. And the stupid wheel

+1 Also, I would love to see waypoints implemented, where you can send your scout on a circuitous route of the galaxy without having to stop and direct his movements. This is staple feature of RTS games. I don't see why it couldn't be done in a TBS game.

A few takeaways from my first time playing Beta 3: Sound effects! I really like the different sound effects that have been added into the game. Cut scenes! I am blown away by the quality of the cut scenes! I only wish they were a bit longer or repeating or something. Artwork! Tremendous job on the event artwork! It is beautiful! I hope we get different artwork for anomalies, too. The game is rea

Can you make it so the flagship has missions? This would be similar to quests for your heroes in Fallen Enchantress. It would be a great way to give the flagship extra purpose, especially once most of the anomalies have been explored. Think Starship Enterprise, ferrying diplomats, witnessing stellar events, boosting morale along zones of control, etc. There's a lot of fun that could be had with that.
