Had this. It's a pesky one. Went to other PC and searched around in some desperation. Went to someplace called My Antispyware(dot)com and their support team contacted me with the following weird note*. I set my system calendar to six days ahead, then rebooted. Then set correct time. Then rebooted. Malware apparently gone...(?). Had to use other PC as this one was terminally borked from the virus. Only got a multiple of popups that disabled almost everything, saying "pay $ to ge

Take what time you need. Two years ago I lost my Dad on Fat Tuesday, and my Mom a month later from surprise cancer. Dropped off the edge of the world and just now climbing back up. Just thinking about that the other day... that was a nice feature Ticker Tape RSS reader from Yahoo widgets is good. Scrolls across the screen. Fonts, colors, transparency, speed all easily adjustable.
I have had and relied on it for six years. Wouldn't be without it. Check out "SATIATION (vertical)" by skinnalicious, The main one I use since it was published. I've changed more buttons and meters and gears and lights and bells, whistles and steam/lightning bolts...it's a fun app and easily customised by novices. After a few deletes here and there it boots faster (30 less baggage programs at startup). Overall: system rockin'!! Thanks to everyone here who added comments.
