No, the tooltip shown in the screen capture is for the research collective, not the power matrix. The power matrix tooltip correctly shows bonus +2.

This has been one of my pet peeves through the GC series of games. Autosaves are taken before newly built ships are launched - it used to be you'd have to search every planet to see if you had ships left there, now you have to search every shipyard. I hope this gets fixed.
Thanks, I thought it might be a stupid question [e digicons][/e]
This might be a stupid question, but is the Power Matrix working correctly? I built a Yor research collective, which should start at level 1. It was next to the Civilization Capital, which should boost it to level 2. Then I built a Power Matrix next to it, which is supposed to boost research in adjacent tiles +2, which should make it level 4. But it's at level 3: </
I don't see why it would be so hard to give it a different name when the Yor are inhabiting the planet, and switch back to "Food" if the planet is taken over by another race. Also, I found a "Wild Grain" tile on another planet that gives a population boost. Why would the Yor care about Wild Grain? I assume if I build a Power Matrix there it would get the same population boost, but maybe for the Yor those resource tiles could also be named something different?
I don't know if this is intentional or a mistake, but the planet screen for Iconia (and I assume other planets colonized by the Yor) still list food as a resource: It's not a big deal to me but it seems contrary to your design direction for the Yor.
In the Yor tech tree, if I mouse over the icon under Orbital Manufacturing, I see a "Full Description Goes Here" for what I assume is the Small Hull.
I'm seeing the same thing in the Yor tech tree for Collective Manufacturing. I mouse over it, it starts out large enough that I can read everything, then it shrinks and cuts off the top and bottom of the 2 lines of text "Allows construction of improved colony buildings". I tried mousing over it from different directions, and just repeating moving the mouse away and back, and found that it's inconsistent. It happens more often than not, but sometimes it doesn't ha
Good point! I've never tried purchasing freighters, but you certainly should be able to do it. And I agree with your suggestion that selecting the most lucrative would be very nice.
Yes, this has been reported before but apparently not yet fixed.
[quote who="Gaunathor" reply="4" id="3506938"] Quoting twilight024, reply 2 I played GC2 extensively, but I'm not sure what you are referring to exactly? He is probably talking about the Planet/Ship List. It allows you to sort all known ships and planets in different ways. For example, all unown
I don't think it's in the game yet. I agree it should be.
I would at least like the option to tell a starbase to continue building the same type of ship automatically, like you could do for planets in GC2.
@eviator - No, if it still has remaining sponsors it shouldn't flip or disappear.
I had researched some military techs and was trying to upgrade a starbase when I saw this: I don't think we're in the alpha any more.
I don't know about the spectator mode, but I certainly hope it has the end game stats.
I have opened ticket #ZIY-397-20387 for this problem. I sent in the support tool output and the saved game.
It doesn't help that in my last 3 games I got the UP resolution that forbids colonizing new planets. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e]
Yes, I mentioned that in the original post.
RobTzu - Right, I knew about that, but as you noted, I completely overlooked it.
When I gain a planet through cultural influence flipping, there's a popup window that notifies me of the event. However, in my current game, I lost a planet due to culture flipping, and did not notice any such notification window letting me know I lost it. Has anyone else seen this? I just happened to notice it, probably a few turns after it happened.
Thanks for pointing out that post, and your reply. But I haven't made any custom ships, so those were standard ships that were enabled by trading for the techs.
I think this is because I traded for some military techs on the previous turn, but it was still a surprise when I saw this:
I have 3 starbases near ascension crystals, and the tooltip for each looks like this: Each starbase has the Precursor Studies Center (and by the way, all the improvements in this line have "Full Description Goes Here" for a description). If I believe the tooltip, I should be getting 4 points from each of 3 starbases, for a total of 12 per turn. However, when I look at the
