SoFFacet: it depends where they expend the energy. Putting time into a new game has more potential to produce sales than putting time into an already existing and running game. More potential buyers in a new game (in their opinion, I think TF2 proves it wrong).

This bug also happens with Flag locks. It won't reset the timer and you have to wait until the first lock ends (COMPLETELY).
-Pod-, You can either accept that games have requirements or you can whine and annoy other players. You can get a job, work for 1-2 weeks and upgrade whatever you want in your PC. This is the reality of things. In this case, you are lucky enough to have a simple solution. If people (like in South Africa) can't play with the majority of players and no one wants to accept them into games because they have 400ms+ ping then what should they do? Relocate to a place with a better ping? Same
I've only had a few games were someone was crying about my sim speed, wich really they can kiss my ass not all of us save up our money to supe up our computers
Yes, so the people who did buy super computers can be synched with you at your -2 sim speed? play on 640x480 if it works with a decent sim speed. Don't be a douche.
Very annoying build that is weak end game (so I've noticed). Too strong in the beginning. I would use the minion advantage as early as possible and start to own flags/take down towers. Also, most AOE builds will not kill the crawlers until late game but will hold off the crawlers at bay. Put in 500 gold to get tower splash damage upgrade vs this.
Did anyone know that Gauntlets of Despair have a hidden +8% attack speed bonus that isn't documented? It's in the LUA files (I don't know if this was fixed later on, but I doubt it). Zechno, your suggestions really overbuff items making people who kill other demigods seriously overpowered if they have that extra gold. 1. I think more items with special traits should be added to give new depth and strategy into the game. Magnus rod/Warpstone/Wand of speed etc are examples of th
Dear New Player, 1. Beat single player at least on Hard difficulty. 2. Read forums. 3. Join "noob/new players" games. 4. Learn from your mistakes/other peoples' strategies. 5. Wear flame shield against elitists. In game tips: 1. Stack health 2. Don't die 3. Play as a team 4. Don't die If you are joining "PRO/GOOD/SKILLED ONLY" games then you deserve the flaming, sorry. You are
@Kreusa: was he using the Horn of Battle favor item perhaps?
I wouldn't mind joining USA games if most Americans wouldn't complain about my 200ms ping to USEast and tell me that I'm either from: a ) The Moon, b ) Antarctica or c ) Russia
Blitz64: Does you having a girlfriend give you an advantage over girls that are looking for a boyfriend? The answer is no. In competition it is different. Should I wear a sticker saying "I take performance enhancing drugs" or only tell when people ask? Even then, some people might not tell the truth. People want a baseline and they deserve it. Please don't derail the thread.
Wow, so much hate in the forums. GG guys. I agree with OP. Premades are too afraid to play against other premades. @Aviyur: So play with your friends and state in the topic that you are premade. The two aren't mutually exclusive. @Lumifly: I don't think he said he is afraid of playing against other good teams. I think what OP wants is some baseline to start from. If it's a premade then he wants the right to choose whether to join or not. Give him the choice to decide. Being sn
Had a game where it was me (UB) + Rook + Sedna. Sedna always kept herself on the other side of the map and many times we were left fighting off 2v3 (they were rook/oak/sedna). Needless to say, they used teamwork and our Sedna didn't bother coming over to be with us. When the Sedna did come over, we would easily drive them off and/or kill them... but that happened like.. twice? He would also stop with 500 health and write "Run" to the rook while he was being gang banged by 3 speed stackers :)<
maxxy's dictionary of game names: No noobs = Noob only game. Noobs only/New players = Pro player honeypot for steamrolling noobs who are trying to learn the game. Buyer beware. No retards = I don't know what "retards" mean so this game is probably for me! Pro only = Premade pro player groups using VoIP who won't state that they're premade and will lie about it. Premade/Teams only = Games that have 1% chance of ever filling up. Any game without a
@Spooky: oops, so the first part of my post is fail but the second stands firm. If it works, they are not going to change it anytime soon.
Depends on your team in 2v2. If you go for Regulus and the other teammate goes for TB then yes, you are BOTH gimped. If you go UB/Oak/Rook/Sedna and tank it up while the TB can play his natural role as glass cannon, then no, he is not gimped. TB is a great demigod if he has a tank to hide behind. He just takes a bit more skill than spit/run/spit/run/charge-in-guns-blazing UB build.
Does the speed attack debuff from Ooze affect the archers/tol/treb? I don't think so.
"WE NEED MORE SALES" Making it asynchronous is basically a client/server model (like in FPS games) which they said they would be going for anyway, but it was pretty obvious they wouldn't do so in the end as the p2p system works [note: "works", not "works well"] 90% of the time. With the current p2p method they don't have to invent any fancy algorithms for prediction, synchronizing between players and server costs [even though for 60 running games I don't see why you can run a pentium
Can anybody tell me what that "Warp Stone" is suppose to be good at? My friend got it last weekend during our Lan game. He thought it was like an unlimited TP scroll. But when he tried to use it, all it would do is TP him about 1 1/2 inches away; then cool down for 45 secs. He ask "what good is it?", I told him I had no idea. For $5500, I though it would have some semi-uber use anyway. If it's for quick getaways, I'd just buy the wand of speed.
It is good to run away, chase
maxxy, we are seriously trying to be helpful here, and that isn't.
Zechno, I have posted tons of suggestions over the forum on gameplay, easy content making, UI necessary tweaks and other issues None of which received some kind of response or whatever. I have nothing more to add. I don't want demigod to have any new content/whatever until the game can be played without crashing to desktop. I have a friend who I just can't play with coz he crashes all the time. Game free
But can it play Crysis?
A working game. That is all.
These stats are weird. Demigod is a very low population game. I have no idea how they sold so much and yet so little people are online as it is (in essence) a multiplayer centric game. At the moment of writing this post... so called "2106 players" are online but only 157 are actually inside games, playing. This is baloney. Less than 10% in game while 90% are lurking? Is Demigod the new screen saver? Come on. Something is wrong here.
QoT is seriously gimped skill wise... You need to be a good player to make her strong (she is a v.good demigod imo) but you also need a good team on your side even if you are a good player. Her AOE/building killing skills are insane and her support is excellent but without a good team... she is so gimped as she relies on her teammates to do the tanking/damage. Compared to Sedna who at late levels is practically unkillable (huge +hps and priests), the QoT is uber squish. I will not go
Mana drain is not mana STEAL. It will remove mana from the enemy. Scouring the LUA files showed no gaining of mana after draining it from your enemy.
Hello, I am sure everyone noticed yesterday that whoever was Proxied to other people had huge pings (in Europe). I saw people saying something about being routed via the Australian proxy instead of the close proxy. Has this issue been dealt with? More so, too many splits in the middle of games with people dropping left and right. Is this a server side issue? Is this being dealt with as well? Thanks
