The only thing debatable is to what extent piracy is harming the gaming industry and not if it's harming the gaming industry. db0 The fact that big companies are making decisions based on half-arsed arguments is not surprising. Yeah it's sad to see the pirates already taking the game...and of course along with that out comes the pirate apologist and their transparent attempts at legitimizing those actions. That tweakguide article is also very good. While not the absolute truth and some things are certainly debatable, it's clear that piracy has a negative effect on the gaming industry. If you can't see that you are simply trying your hardest not to...
I think waiting until tomorrow may be the best idea, hopefully can resist booting it up tonight lol. I do still have some more Laura Croft and the Guardians of Light to play :D
you sure about this? can you link an official thought on it? There will be a patch tomorrow - and read the SD badge, baby...official enough for you?
Is there a patch log that details some of the improvements/fixes we can expect?
So a while back I was interested in pre-ordering the game to check it out early...but was advised against it by a few folks from the forum. Reason being was the beta was stated as in a very rough state and that it should not be used as a 'demo'. That was perfectly reasonable to me and I decided to wait rather than get annoyed with too many bugs/ect. However, I just purchased the game a bit ago since it is release now [e digicons][/e] With that said I came to
Well the other thing is I like to support good game developers as well...and I understand pre-ordering is a good way of doing so. I'm not really one for charity though...so there has to be some fun for me to have :P But it looks like I missed my chance for now anyways so its moot. Sounds like the game is already fairly fun now and beta 3 should be better...I'll jump on it then. BTW, any word or estimate when one might expect the next beta to open up?
So I was thinking of pre-ordering the game to get into the beta...but only for selfish reasons. I am not that interested in bug reporting or putting up with too many issues. Certain things like some missing features, rough edges, some bugs, ect aren't that big of a deal to me, but if the game still has major issues or is in a state that is nearly unplayable I'll probably wait for release. I'm not against giving feedback or making suggestions, but for $50 I would at least l
I don't have a lot of experience with competative DOTA type games and their online communities...but I will say this experience has forever turned me off from them. Demigod had such a cool premise and I really liked the game...but once I started going online (after beating the SP portion a few times) it was literally sickening. I haven't even played in over a month because every single match I joined was filled with foaming at the mouth belligerent retards. Basically just ch
This was one of the most painful forum posts I have ever read. The OP and his ridiculous post represents all that is wrong with this world. MarkyX, you should be embarrassed of what you did here. May god have mercy on your soul.
Maybe it was a business decision (time/cost/technical issues/ect vs projected amount of players they felt they would pickup)...and not them "being lazy". I tell ya...I have a real contempt for the kids these days who run around calling developers "lazy"...it's unbelievable.
I suck...either that or the people I play are just freaking pro gamers or something. It's not even fun anymore...last night got 2 shotted by a regulus character...we both were level one. At that point I just quit...and I do feel bad for that. But honestly the game isn't much fun for a casual player like me. Maybe if there were lower "ranks" where I could play with other similarly skilled players that would be one thing...but getting totally "owned" with no hope to even

Good suggestion...very good in fact.
The way I look at the demigod is a supportive type general with push capabilities. With his offessive skills (aura, buff, summon, scything sweep) you can make strong pushes, although they are short lived and would be hard to keep momentum over long periods of time. And he has of course the tactical aspects like the walls, building buffs, and turret placements. I see some variation in style, maybe not as much as other demigod's, but the options are certainly there.
He summons them from the bones of the fallen and they construct from out of the ground. And I added a offensive skill that should do some nice damage as well as a damage dealing aura that also reduces the effectiveness of enemy units.
