How about giving us the opportunity to actually be in the command deck of any one of our ships? In the heat of battle, we could decide to enter any one ship and control it from there, be it a fighter, a bomber, a frigate, etc, just like Star Trek. The interface does not have to be all that complicated.

Space ponies. Space whales. These are great ideas. Other alien life forms roaming around like pests which could get in the way accidentally of missiles or lasers, or eat away at mines, or could interfere with ship abilities, or be used as temporary shields against enemy attack would truly make the planetary systems come alive. Just get ready to upgrade your rig with a new videocard and more RAM.
My wish is that whatever MODS we want to install would be made available on Impulse, and we download them from there, and it's up to Impulse to update Sins with the MODs we have chosen. This way, the file system for all mods would be uniform and Ironclad could be given the opportunity to check them for modifications which could cause glitches to the game.
My computer freezes then I get an error message about a "MiniDump". The game then stops and I am thrown back to Vista. I have tried to Uninstall Sins and entrenchment then reinstalling it using Impulse, but I am still getting the same problem each time and around the same time.
I noticed that the minidump problem has also something to do with the kind of videocard that we use and not necessarily the new drivers we i
Another 3 months that sux. When i bought it 2 days a go i didn't even know it was a beta. Does that mean i will have to pay extra for the finished product when it does get released.
We have essentially paid for the final retail version. Only those of us who paid for it are given the privilege to try out the beta version of Entrenchment.
Thanks for the clarification, Lokoth. Who the hell created the concept of a placeholder anyway? Not everyone, like myself, understands what a placeholder means. The concept, as I understand, is just a temporary date subject to change. Maybe it would help if beside the release date posted by Ironclad/Impulse the word PLACEHOLDER is written in bold letters[e digicons]:)[/e] with these words included: The release date is subject to change depending on how fast we fix its bugs and try to in
Wannabe lawyers? I AM A LAWYER. I passed the Bar exams two years ago. Everyone is entitled to share his opinions on this blog. It is the best way to thresh out differences and learn from one another. Not all lawyers are unreasonable. I understand your zeal in defending the developers of Entrenchment. I just wish that they better stop posting release dates if they could not promise to keep them, or at the very least informed us way ahead of time that the planned
Here are some suggestions: 1. Increase cultural influence by at least 30% or more in a planetary system far away from the home planet, so that this would negate the need to create satellites, or to scuttle those that were created earlier, so that logistic slots can be used for more useful purposes. 2. I think the mini-go
After designating fleets using numbers one to nine on the keyboard, once I tap the number of the fleet, I am shown the cluster of stars where the fleet is located, and it is up to me to zoom in with the middle mouse roller and look for the specific planet where a fleet is located. Suggestion: I think it would be better that after tapping once or twice on the designated number on the keyboard, we would immediately be brought to the p
Sorry, this has been posted earlier. I mistakenly clicked twice on the submit changes button earlier.
One great way to improve Entrenchment is when we press on the designated number of the fleet, either from one to nine on the keyboard, we are brought to the actual fleet itself and not to the cluster of stars where the fleet is located. If it is for aesthetic/loading purposes to bring us first to the cluster of stars, then maybe tapping twice on the chosen number on the keyboard would bring us to the fleet: the first tap would bring us to the cluster of stars, and the second tap would b
Looks like Entrechment's release dates are not to be taken seriously. It was slated to be released last November, moved to January 1st, then moved forward to February 11th, then moved back to February 4th (as slated by the IGN review), then forward to February 11th, and now it is moved two weeks forward to February 25th.[e digicons]|-O[/e] I just hope that Ironclad would come up with the final retail ver
Have a fresh install of Sins, update it first with the 1.12 patch released over three weeks back, then install the beta of Entrenchment. Mine works well. We have the same computer specs, except that my videocard is less advanced than yours-an 8800 gt. Also, I learned that the MODS we've installed before could pretty much corrupt our installation of Entrenchment.
I suggest that you wait till the final version. Only the beta is available as of this time. It is 7 am in Vancouver, and their stardock office would open in an hour. Hopefully by then they would upload the final retail version. In my case, it takes about roughly one and a half hours for Entrenchment to be downloaded, and it automatically updates the original game. You could play other PC games as stardock downloads the game into your PC. The downloading does not in any way
I wonder when we can download the final retail version of Entrenchment. It is almost four hours past New Year's Eve. The official release is like RIGHT NOW, but only the beta version is online. Do we need to uninstall the beta version or would Stardock simply add more files to our beta version to make it the final release?
