Quoting RadioBlues, reply 17 I agree completely, and although you can go through the some 3500 names in the datafile, I would prefer a star rename function for things that are in my ZoC so if I really don't like seeing a star named "GAMERZ" I can just change it on the fly!
I find these quite funny. Quoting RadioBlues, reply 11 101010 Binary? What, and why? Binary for the number 42, ASCII code 42 is * or also known as a star. <div class="quot
I also find some of the star names to be very irritating and distracting. I like a serious universe, at least a believable universe, not a joke galaxy or a tribute to all of the family members of the founders. And I am a founder myself. Damn tree huggin hippies!! The AI loves to do this - after using the shipbuy exploit to send out like 10 colony ships in 10 turns. What pisses me off is that they can waltz into your ZOC and colonize a planet willy nilly!
I personally like the jokes and humorous cultural references, but I appreciate Kalamar1122's post #4. The star names are something else, though. Especially the one that looks like it has someone's birthday in it.
I am with you on this one, and although I am fully appreciative of those people who donated to the game I cannot fathom why they allowed some names that just appear like graffiti to me.<
WHINER COMPLAINS ABOUT HUMOR Some forumites are complaining about the number of jokes we put in the game. (Benevolent +10) Leave the jokes in! Hire Dane Cook to do a set for the intro video.
<p style="text-align: le
I got what you were sayin' DARCA, it made me lol, now don't be sad.. the world loves you /pat
Hi Kitten, lots of people are having this issue and has been reported many times.. Gotta wait for a fix I'm afraid :( Hopefully they'll be quick about this one - I am dying to see the game past the Age of War
Nice compilation! #26 seems to me like it should be the highest priority to fix, as many people (myself included) are having the same issue in later periods of the game. I have yet to finish a game or even make it out of the Age of War, but at least that gives me something to look forward to :D
I know there isn't any real reason for doing so in the first place, I just thought what the hell I'll try it out anyways! -Gamecrash- Famous last words eh?
I also seem to be having the same issue, with the turn button stuck on "Wait" without any idle ships/planets/etc. Running a fresh game as the new playable race and occurs on Turn 231 (including after loading autosaves and prior saves) Also, on an unrelated note, I am ready to murder U.P. with extreme prejudice. "Oh you have 5 colony ships enroute to planets that are just a few turns away from their destination? Lets help you out with an environmental pro
Hey there! I was wondering if there were any plans to include binary star systems in the game? Mechanics aside (because I have no idea what I am doing so far, and loving every second of it), this is the only thing I can find to complain about in this amazing game. 50% of the stars we've found in the Universe are binary systems, and realism aside, it would definitely add some diversity to the map besides stars of different colors.
Thanks for the referral to google, but I was hoping to avoid using 3rd party programs and could not find an appropriate article for my needs.
Hey guys, Was hoping to get some advice from those who might know a little more about multiple displays than I do: In a nutshell, I would like GC3 to use my 3rd monitor as the primary monitor without having to change the setting for the rest of my applications. Normally I would just launch the game in windowed mode, drag and drop on to the 3rd monitor, and set the program back to full screen. But with GC3 I cannot seamlessly
