Simple people. If you bought the game before Oct 2010 then you get both standalone future games for free. If you bought the game after Oct 2010 but before the beginning of the year, then you get the first standalone free, and the second at a sharp discount. After reading all these responses, one thing I have yet to see spoken of or mentioned is the intent of game length by SD. Now, say the intent of SD was to have a game last about 5 hours, or 300 turns. Based on the speed of progress through techs this seems appropriate. Now of course, if pacing seems far to fast, wouldn't going about creating a tech system similar to civ, and maybe making a separate research system for magic?
