The force is strong with Iron Clad and Star Dock! I'm so thrilled about the new difficulty setting. PLaying a medium map vs 4 AI is now extremely entertaining. Thanks guys.

Ummm... I can tell you the worst is the KOL!
you already won the game and decided to continue, its not gonna give you the victory screen a second time, since it considers you the winner once you won already.
Yup. Game's already over son.
Can I PLEASE have your babies!!!!
how do i get my computer to not de-sync?
ID you have a non agression pact? Because if you didn't and you accidentalyy killed enough of their ships they will drop down to zero immediatly. I usually pay extra attentention when I'm trying to create a negotiation with an AI, I dock all my sqaudrons and set all my ships and defenses to NOT auto attack. Other then that I can't figure out why they would do that... unless they suscessfully allied with a player who was against you.
Oh man that TEC carrier looks PIMP! Progress???
Alright everyone needless to say that I am a lover of HW1 and HW2, I never played Cataclysm though. I owned both but lost one to an idiot cousin and the other to age scratches. If anyone cold possible tell me how to get these games I would be soo thankful. Relic no longer makes HW1 and I can't find anywhere to download it!!! And Idon't want to buy HW2 again since I have the game laying helplessly on my desk. :( you have no idea how tragic it is to look at them and not be able to play. HELP!!!
I'll jsut igve you my 2cents. The advent are imho the hardest to beat if you set them on hard with an emphais on research. They make it impossible to colonize anything. For a hard scenarios go a 4FFA as the Vasari against one of each. TEC Eco/Agg, Advent Research, Vasari Agg. Or if you realloy want to pound your head against the wall do a 4FFA against all advent with one research, the other agg, and the other eco. That will amke for a really really interesting match up. In fact that's what I'm a
I agree with you Crash, the Carrier is an amazing ship to start off with. I personally like using the Marauder for 4 player games cause it's better to do some quick strikes to slow the enemy. In big maps the Conolizing Cap is amazing. It really depends on the map size and players. But the carrier rocks! And... the maruader conolizing cap together are just deadly. Those two can easily eliminate 3 caps. Repari clod and phase hull all day long.
ZOMG!!!! I think I just wet myself.
Oh man... the game is so much more enjoyable with the sounds of HW in the background. Takes me back man... memories. Thanks
God bless Eve... 4X corporation for life!
How is the mod coming along, anyhow. I like news.::eats popcorn::
agreed! Pics too!
Wow here is a great way to listen to Homeworld's music without doing all of that!Step 1: Play Homeworld.
I can't!!!! New Hard drive and broken disks. HW1 AND HW2 :(
I think HW2 was better then HW and expansion. Because in HW2 it had lot more things that could be done, espcaily the ablity to hide in dust clouds and surprise attack. And the subsystem idea was great in HW2 on the mothership, and also that capitail ships. Wish that it could have been done in SOASE.
Dude... ummm.... I respect your opinion and all that jive but.... YOU'RE OUT OF YOUR GOD DAMN MIND! HW2 > HW1... that's blasphemous! I do however agree with subsyste
Add a slider in addition to the tech. You can research the tech to unlock larger fleet sizes. Then you have a slider below it. You can move the slider up and down, the minimum being 0 upkeep but no tech enhancements and the top being maxed out with 70% upkeep (75?). You set a point on the slider that you want. The point you want does not represent where things actually are. Instead there is a secondary value shown behind it (Like a media player on youtube, there is a slide for what is loa
My goodness, do all of you have nothing better to do on Friday night than play Sins? I mean, go get a date with some pretty girl, for crying out loud! Each to his own, I guess.
...... Dude.... lives are over rated.
BTW, this isn't to say that there aren't memory issues or hardware issues AS WELL - just that the types of crash that most of the people on this thread are reporting sound an awful lot like undetected de-syncs by their description of the symptoms.
That was very helpful
lol, not that it matters but it was the same with mine too.
Is creating a back up just simply copyuin the folder and storing it somewhwere safe so that I can put it back in if things go bad?
Yea... but not many poeple especially newbs, even consider pumping out a ton of broadcast centers. I can totallyt see how a player can get caught up in the warfare aspect of the game or simply just get engaged in a massive fleet battle and complet;y forget about culture and stuff. It definetly happnes to me when I'm 3 hours into a game. UI totally forgetr to continue researching certain things, and build trade centers here and there cause I'm too busy fighting war on two fronts or something like
Awww, I really want this!!! Keep us updated when it's a go for XP
...and my HW2 was cracked by my cousin...What did you do with the corpse?
I don't remember... I think I was consumed by temporary insanity.
