is there an easy way to check out the regen values of the DGs at various levels? is it mostly a level effected thing? or moreso abilities? or is it really a play by feel thing that you just learn after you've played for a while?

I know that if it was just a 1 on 1 game, and someone was just farming kills off of me to be abusive/annoying, I would just park my DG behind my citadel and then go afk for a bit if it's a quite obvious loss.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try that out tonight! [e digicons][/e] When you say Vlemish and then Plenor, do you mean that you'll sell the Vlemish and upgrade to Plenor? or have the Plenor in addition to the Vlemish?

Well then he gets extra cookies, cause it's generally a cold day in hell when you can get ANYTHING from a game publisher other than just the form-letter run around.

I've noticed on a few of the different bits of equipment (mostly helmets) that there are 2 different types of mana regen modifiers. The flat +XX mana per second regeneration, or a percentage based regeneration. Does one hold a greater benefit than the other? is the percent based one better for casters, and the flat rate one better for the more melee oriented DGs? Anyone that can lend me some knowledge would definitely be much appreciated. [e digicons][/e]

I agree, Frogboy has definitely been exhibiting the 'god among men' type behaviour as far as support for his userbase and company go. This is the way it's supposed to be done. Game developer being tightly knit with the community keeping 100% in the loop and showing wonderful support for your products. Every game developer should follow your lead, it would completely revolutionize the game industry, imo. Although if EVERY game developer did it, that would make it ha

LAN Games Players can also play on their local area network (LAN). Demigod has no restriction on licensed copies on the LAN so go ahead and have fun! So let me get this straight. I can install Demigod on my main gaming rig, my laptop, and more or less do a LAN match against myself to screw around and learn the game? It's not going to throw some funky error, or close down my other copy of Demigod because I've opened it up on my lapt

I've got Demigod downloaded and installed through Impulse (remote desktop woot woot), and am now trying to locate a manual to read this afternoon to help pass the time until I can actually go home and play Demigod. I can't seem to find one in the install directory of Demigod, does one exist for this game? or is it more or less going to be a 'thrown to the wolves' scenario once I get home and try it out for the first time?
Playing against a normal computer is like playing against a person with average intelligence who has never played demigod before. Playing against an easy computer is like playing against a mentally handicapped 6-year-old who has never touched a computer in their entire life.
awsome! if the AI is easy enough on the lower difficulty levels, I might even be able to get my wife into playing the game with me. Yes yes I know, I fail at life for being curious about cheats etc. [e digicons]-_-[/e] Now on to the question! I've seen a cheat release for demigod that says that if you enable god mode (invulnerability) that the enemy AI has access to it, and will use it as well. Is this true? or was that a 'feature' left in the leaked version to mess with the pirates? I fully intend to buy the game (stardock rocks my socks, support them!!), and am curious if I'm going to be abl

That map is more or less exactly what I'm looking for :D I might take it into the editor and add a pirate planet (don't want it TOO easy you know) ;) Apart from that though, looks like a great map! I'll definitely keep in mind the bit about not forming bad habits. I just like winning my first play through from a morale point of view, and sometimes I like an easy map just for the sake of being able to play a nice relaxing game with no worries. :) I'll probably sink my

I took a look at that one, and it appears very annoying to defend my worlds to say the least. I was hoping to have a fairly secure back end of my empire without having to send my fleet chasing around little incursions, or having to burn a bunch of resources on back world defenses. I definitely don't mind investing an afternoon into a longer game, as I would like to see what it's like to have all techs researched. I was hoping to have something along the lines of a core of around 5-6ish worlds

Just recently got the game, and I'm wondering what you folks would suggest as the best map to start out on having freshly completed the tutorials. I was more looking along the lines of a 3 way FFA so I can see all the races in action at a time. I'm hoping someone can suggest a good map that has easily defensible planets (perhaps them all being more or less daisy chained so there are minimal phase lanes), or has very good bottlenecks that are frequently available. One thing I see the g
