any idea when this will be released? thanks

I just ran into this myself. Sort of stops the game. Never heard of the console, how do I get there?
similar issue with razer blade 2014. I was able to create and start a immense game but when I try to load a save it eventually blows.
Graphics performance still crap, but otherwise good I guess.
yeah, not sure what the problem is. The Nvidia GPU activity indicator in the system tray lights up and says that GalCiv3 is using the GPU. It just does not run well. I lowered my resolution from 3200x1800 down th 1920x1080 and it does improve up to about 11-12 FPS. Other games, Metro, Crysis3, Titanfall, etc run at high FPS so I suspect it is something in the game itself. Not complaining of course, it is beta. But I want to point it out so if they want any
I have the same problem too. I have already forced it to use the NVidia but it still has major issues.
Since we have moved into Beta from Alpha I wanted to provide feedback. The graphics performance of Beta 1 is terrible. I am getting only 5-6 FPS on a 2014 Razer Blade running Nvidia 870M graphics and the game is set to use the NVidia via Nvidia Control Panel. This is not a criticism but an attempt to provide meaningful feedback. Thanks
I am running the latest driver, 340.52, on GeForce GTX 870M that is in a 2014 Razer Blade. I do not see any horizontal lines. My issue is that it runs only at 7-10 FPS even those I have it configured via Nvidia Control Panel to run Galciv3.exe exclusively on the GPU. But it is a alpha game so that is the way it goes.
yeah, does not see that GUI performance is a concern just yet. I am lucky to get 5-6 FPS on a Nvidia GeForce GTX 870M which screams with other games. Tis alpha...
just fyi - after latest fix the FPS is actually a little worse, about 8 fps.
Yes, I verified in the NVidia control panel that it should use the NVidia GPU for this game, also the system tray indicator from NVIDIA lights up saying that it is indeed using the GPU. Not too worried about it, it is Alpha but I wanted Stardock to know. thanks
My computer is a new razer blade 2014 running at 3200x1800 with NVidia GeForce 870M. When I run the app the framerate is very poor roughly 10-12 FPS. It is using the discrete graphics when running. Obviously other games run fine (Titanfall 45-50FPS, Crysis, 30-35 FPS as example). I would imagine graphic performance not really tuned yet but thought I would mention it. If more information required please let me know.
I have a new Razer Blade 2014 running at 3200x1800. I tried to change the UI size and it does not refresh the game a change the size of the UI elements. If I quit the game and come back in then the UI size is changed. Thanks PS-I really love what I am seeing!
My scout found a lost gunboat. Now that I have it I cannot make it move. It comes up as an Idle Ship but I cannot move it. Just a FYI
I just received email that the time to sign up as founder and founder elite at discounted price is coming to an end because they are nearing launch of the Alpha. Last day to purchase at discounted price is March 2. I hope that means the alpha is like March 3rd!
OOOH! How cool! Being a software developer (ASP.NET, MVC, C#, HTML, JS) it would be so totally cool to peruse through the source for GalCiv2! When I was in college back in the 80's I always dreamed of being a game writer. Later in my career I hired people who came from the game developing world in Dallas and Austin and heard the horror stories which painted a more bleak picture. Having said that, I am sure Stardock is not as bad as working
GalCiv2 had cheat codes? I was aware of Ctrl-N to initiate a reroll of starting stats at the beginning but I never saw that as a cheat since it was before one started playing. Are there others?
Yep, I did the $99 as well. Only because it is Stardock and my experience has been that they make good stuff. Even when they screwed up they took steps to make it right for the customer. I would not have done this for any other game company.
I do wonder how many Linux users there really are? I tried it and found it to be a pain in the ass.
Distant Worlds - Shadows is pretty good. The graphics are not as cool as GalCiv2 but the game has a lot of depth and many things going on. Having said that, be prepared to drop a load of cash. Shadows is the latest version you have to buy the original and the previous expansions at regular prices to get there.
Awesome thanks! Founder Elite I am!
I am oh so very excited about this. I am a big fan of the series. I love the TBS aspect of it, I have tried Sins but I guess I am not fast enough to really enjoy it like I have the GalCiv series. I am very curious of this will still be TBS or what? I do not think they have spilled the beans on this one yet but I hope they will soon enough. As a side, and truly unrelated note, I am pretty close to doing the founder's elite thing, I buy al
I have a question, will this be like the others in that it will be turn-based? Thanks
