I wouldn't mind seeing a favorite or two from the MOO Universe, but I know that is highly unlikely to happen.

Just don't be like SimCity and require a constant Internet connection to play the game, even though I am online 99% of the time, I do like to play games on the road when I have no Internet access, as I don't have a mobile hotspot, or mobile Internet of any sort.
''

I was always wondering how the rest of their, or of any of the other races, body would look like.
I was disappointed to see them as bipedals. In fact, the bottom half looked suspiciously human. Edit: On second thought, "disappointed" is a rather strong word. This is a game after all. Let's just say I did not envisio

You dont have to 'run' out of physical ore or energy source or whatever your extracting for it to become uneconomical to continue extraction efforts. Since there is clearly a lack of understanding of the basics here. Humans, and (aliens) always go after the 'low-hanging' fruit first. The easiest (ch
I would also like to see a return to the original Gal Civ (and MOOII) galaxy map, where "hyperdrive" was between star systems, and the systems had their own separate screen showing the planets and asteroids surrounding the star. Star systems have virtually no importance in Gal Civ II, as habitable planets are sprinkled randomly around the map. Returning to the star system maps emphasizes the vastness of space, improving the atmos
Quoting Mac2411, reply 4 The game would have to take place along a longer timeline than previous games. Even on huge galaxies the game time that took place wasn't that long-certainly not so long that one would exhaust the resources of an entire solar system or even planet.
Hey all. Just throwing out an idea; what if resources, be it in the form of asteroids, minerals on planets or galactic resources (amoung other possibilities) were able to be exhausted? Different sources of resources could have varying amounts of them to start, while building things which take advantage of them would use up a certain amount per turn. This would eventually lead to depletion, which would cause new resources to spawn elsewhere, mandati
You know, back in 1989 when I wrote most of this lore the idea of "This has all happened before and it will all happen again." seemed more original. I have been wanting to get to the Thalan's story for a long time. In GalCiv II, there's a lot of dialog regarding their concern over the crusade the human's were destined to go on that would destroy the universe. Now, we finally get to get to the meat of it.
Though I make no speculation on the Thalan I've had the idea that the Precursors are actually Humans and that it's a continuous cycle. The end of this war would result in all other life ending and the Humans becoming the Precursors and seeding the galaxy with life, including their own original 'forms'.
Yeah, I think the Dread Lords are definitely human.

This idea may not be new or original, but I have a sneaking suspicion the "Thalans" may actually be humans from the future in some sort of encounter suit or otherwise having modified their appearance. Why they would want to do so I do not know, but I find it a somewhat interesting idea. The bipedal look of the Thalan in the trailer only reinforced my suspicion as it is quite uninsectoid like to have two legs instead of six. Feel free to agree or disagree as this is purely sp
